Oh I see so you're just going by that number where it says he's not the PG because then what would they call Tyus? Tyus just brings the ball up for a superstar like Bev did for Harden. To me, that's a PG still doubt the hardest thing a PG does. I think that stat you have is incorrect and honestly I've seen those things be wrong for our team so I'm not placing all my opinion on it. Do they have Sengun playing PG X number of minutes? Because if not then that thing is outdated for positionless basketball. I don't know if you're actually involved with the narrative there but yes having a safe backup pair of hands in Tyus is important and he runs the second team mostly. Good for kick outs from Durant or Bookers iso. Very key role player so far. However just like we're moving FVV off ball, Suns are reducing his duties which is why his assists averages are declining since the start of the season. They're doing that because Booker got better at playing PG. Also as @aelliott has kindly clarified, he averages an irrelevant 1.2 secondary assists. So I can't see the case for docking him credit for it.
Just to clarify - Booker isn't getting the secondary assist (hockey assist) he's getting the actual assist from whoever passed the ball to him to pass to the actual shooter. I attack the rim, double team comes, I pass to you, defender rotates, you pass to Aelliot who shoots - you get the assist, I get the secondary assist. The secondary assists are really irrelevant to the discussion of Booker.
I get that but I don't understand how that's relevant either. It's just a play type. What I'm disagreeing with is the premise that that's not a play run for the PG by a backcourt hate who has PG skills too. Just like we did with Harden who was nominally starting at SG. It's Lebron's entire career. If you're saying he's not a PG like these two are not a PG, then fine. I think it's just a technicality and bossy l vocabulary. That's my PG in the positionless era. I don't get why you're taking any credit away from him for that. He can initiate but Bud is running a more efficient play for him so now we have to treat it as his crutch? Feels like too minor a technicality to matter in the big picture.
At this point, I kinda feel like Sac is going to trade Fox for as much as they can get because they realize the talent that they have in Ellis & & Devin Carter
Kings win again... this time WITH Fox 7-1 under INTERIM coach Doug Christie Fox ain't going nowhere (for now) and they may even try to get Cam Johnson from BK
this possibility is dead Kings were a week or 2 away from imploding and then turned things around Kings are the C and D student that decided to study and started getting A’s and B’s
So Ranadive surrenders. I'm curious who the target team is even though it isn't the Rockets. JR, I really like you in machine mode. Keep up the good work!
Really interesting. I wonder why this is coming out now, and what’s his “target” destination? Could Miami swing a trade for him?
If the Rockets don’t get involved, I’d worry a lot about the Spurs pairing Wemby with Fox. They have a lot of picks to play with and young talent to send back to Sacramento.
I'd rather just let Amen try to become a point guard than bring someone who will take the ball away from him. We don't need Fox
I need the Miami Jimmy Butler bots to reach out to Sacramento and the Kings forums, maybe a conference call with the KD Suns bots.
