The problem with trading for him is that hes looking for a payday. Similar to PJ Tucker’s age and we didn’t do it last time. I doibt we do it this time around.

    So why bother?

I would trade Brooks for Jimmy and sweeten the deal.somehow. butler still gives you the dog mentality but also is better than brooks

I disagree with you. I'm not arguing Dillon versus Jabari, so not sure why that matters. In regards to FVV, he has been playing very well this month. His game and role has changed a whole lot when you compare to November/December time frame. I don't think you send him out, just for the sake of sending him out unless you had someone that could bring the same stability to the Rockets. I know we are a positionless league, however, I still think it's important for this young team to have someone that can control the pace and not always be looking to run. I don't think Jalen or Amen are particularly strong half court players.

I never claimed FVV and Brooks being the core, but I do happen to value chemistry. You still have to have the right type of player come into this team because Sengun and Green need the ball, and Amen also deserves to have more touches. Jimmy could be a potential disruptor to that, which is why you just don't want to bring just anyone in.

I think the young players are already being shown that they are the future. The fact that FVV's usage rate has decreased over the last month while allowing Green and Amen to set the pace speaks volume. Sengun has also been giving a hell of a lot more liberty, so I don't think any particular move would make it anymore obvious.

For all we know, him wanting a payday is being blown out of proportion. I mean, I'm sure if he can get it, that's what he wants, but I imagine anyone that does trade for him will be given the opportunity to talk to Jimmy and make a decision based on that conversation. I wouldn't put a whole lot of value into what the media saying, if it is obviously true. Jimmy wants the most he can get, so it obviously starts at the max. It's possible that he may be willing to take less if his goal is to leave Miami. Total speculation on my part, but I imagine it would be important for whoever is looking to acquire him to actually have a conversation about the future.

Would be wild if we could just get him for expirings. Adams, Tate, Landale, Green, and Holliday for Jimmy works on the trade machine.

    FVV(32)/Amen(16)
    Green(32)//Cam(16)
    Butler(32)/Brooks(16)
    Bari(16)/Eason(16)/Amen(16)
    Sengun(32)/Bari(16)

I know, how dare you bench Amen!!!! These 9 players would all get heavy minutes. Bari would get the majority of the backup C minutes. Who starts doesn’t matter. All the starters plus Amen get 32 minutes with Eason, Brooks and Cam getting the bulk of the bench minutes.

Our depth is how we overwhelm teams in the playoffs. Minutes spread across more players who can expend more energy on defense and running the floor.

Udoka would be salivating over a defensive closing lineup of FVV, Amen, Butler, Brooks and Bari.

Maybe not so much if we trade more than half that bench away.

Adding Jimmy and subtracting the expirings gives you a 9 deep, (maybe 10 if RS could ever get any burn), which is exactly what you want for your rotation.

32 minutes is what our starters have averaged this year. What I’ve proposed is very balanced.

Obviously injuries can derail everything but that’s always a risk.

Yeah, still don't care or want, 36-year-old, 50 million-a-year, disgruntled Jimmy Butler.

The bots really are working hard for this one. He got suspended so the urgency increased I guess, still passing.

    (1) Heat don't have enough slots to take all those players

    (2) This trade works and gives Rox some deep bench players

    MIA: Adams + Tate + Landale + Green + Hollday + 2 SRPs ;)

HOU: Himmy + Burks + Richardson + Larsson

    Half-Court Heroes: FVV + Himmy + Brooks + Bari / Amen + Sengawd

    Run & Fun: Amen + Green + Cam + Tari + Bari

Still kind of light in the front court. Would prolly need to scour buy-out market / waiver wire.

Just to nit-pick a little bit: if the Suns were getting Butler for Beal plus garbage picks, is that not a bargain price??

Just to offload Beal would cost at least those 3 terrible draft picks they acquired. Getting Butler back would be a massive bargain!

At this point, we could wait on Butler to be waived then pick him up for peanuts. He'd be great as our 8th man off the bench.

Miami is not going to waive Butler. He has a $50M player option for next year.

Of course. And we wouldn't use him as our 8th man either. Sarcasm is lost apparently

I wouldn't give up any assets for Jimmy, and I'm not even sure I want his cancerous attitude on our team which could ruin the great chemistry and positive vibes that we are currently enjoying.

I don't care how hard he plays. Jimmy thinks he's above the team. That's not the culture that Ime has set.

Jimmy Butler is not a fit for this Rockets’ team. He doesn’t address their biggest weakness, perimeter shooting, and do you really think Udoka wants his influence around the young guys?

Warriors getting Beal would be a really stupid move.

Jimmy Butler exhibiting the biggest b*tch behavior of any NBA star trying to force their way out in modern history, and it’s crickets from the media

You know the ESPN talking clownheads will always support the players. It's part of the bro code they refuse to break. On the other hand, they will unload on teams without hesitation.
