Your point is moot because immigration doesnt actually have a dramatic impact on minimum(its actually pretty minimal) wages to begin with. So there is no reason we cant raise the minimum wage without it having a dramatic effect on prices.
Much to the chagrin of the same people who feel prosecuting the immigration misdemeanor takes top priority.
Trump has broken many laws, you choose to support him, right? Illegal immigration literally has not affect on your life. You dont care about the econmomy at all??? Like at all?
@Salvy @Os Trigonum @CrixusTheUndefeatedGaul you can tell the word ‘illegal’ is often ignored by the woke
@Os Trigonum @Salvy @CrixusTheUndefeatedGaul @SuraGotMadHops @basso @Scarface281 Cartel ? Fentanyl!? In Denver !!! how did that happen breh?? Selena Gomez crying for them pills
This is the double edge sword I was talking about. These immigrants are a necessity in the agriculture system and housing builds and repairs. The question I would ask everyone is.............. Do your average Americans want these individuals to stay and do these jobs at a substandard rate and keep prices at an artificial low? Do we want to ship them all back and replace them with American citizens and pay the higher prices as a result of fair wages? Do we keep immigrants here and give them a fair wage again increasing the price at checkout? Doing the correct thing and hiring anyone Caucasian, or Hispanic a fair wage will cost all of us. Again the question is, are Americans willing to pay more for home improvements, lawn service, and produce? It's Americas blind eye to things in the past that are now coming home to roost. Be fair and pay more or continue exploiting those looking for a better life? Pocketbook vs. compassion, that is the question. Something has to give and very soon. Regardless of outcome there will be pain for the consumer.
Its as illegal as a speeding ticket. As in it's a civil violation. The physical illegal crossing of the border is a trespassing misdemeanor To believe that deserves your life being turned upside down is psychopathy on full display or stupidness. You probably would prefer psychopathy as you think it sounds cooler than just being stupid.
I'm a leftist. My care for imprisoning a bunch of dumbass small business owners who feel empty and resort to a cult of personality to gain a personality themselves is small. I'm sure the ones who physically assaulted the Capitol police didn't do mere misdemeanors. Notice how I'm absent in the jan 6th pardon discussion here. Its a small blip on the travesty of this new administration. But these rioters staying in prison for long sentences doesn't improve our lives does it? If you are upset about illegal immigration because you see it as a way to exploit poor people from the global South, I hear you. If someone hates illegal immigration because they think most are all violent criminals then I simply don't respect that person My issue with the illegal immigration rhetoric by conservatives is it's at its core... Dehumanization rhetoric. That's why I despise it and don't respect people who push it.
If farmers can't fill jobs with American workers we literally have a visa program for that... H-2A temporary agricultural Workers https://www.uscis.gov/working-in-th...y-workers/h-2a-temporary-agricultural-workers We can legally continue to exploit their labor. It's also a hilarious argument from leftists. We have to pay a McDonald's employee 20 bucks an hour but we need to continue to exploit illegal immigrant labor....
Many did just trespass. But many committed and incited violence, stole, and/or committed property damage. It is that group that the Pardons were absolutely ridiculous. I'm also not going to cry over ICE right now. A lot of what we know they are doing right now has been taking place under every administration, it is just more in your face. If ICE starts showing up to farms, schools, construction sites, and businesses to do mass arrests then I'll start worrying about them. Right now, that is more of an expectation based on rhetoric then it is actual fact.
