As a sof in a Sengun thread you have to know you are always assumed to be crazy and an idiot.

In Turkey he's less popular than a bench player for a contending football team

Absolutely amazing defense and playmaking from Alperen Sengun down the stretch in contrast to Steven Adams’s heavy feet. Celtics were so damn worried about Alperen all night.

    Foundational player.

Amen and Dillon shouldered the scoring load tonight.

It was Amen's real coming-out game (funny that there is an important fan who went from "only Jalen is the core" to "Fred is the best player" straight to "Amen is the best player" - basically, anyone but Alpi - NOPE :D).

Alpi only took 10 shots tonight, but 11/9/9/2 steals, +17 (best +/- on the team), and helped get Porzingis in foul trouble.

Great team effort, and that includes Jalen tonight.

Sometimes me, sometimes you, always us!

But you do know plus minus only makes sense if it is negative for AlP right?

Haven't you heard? Alpi got destroyed this game. Imagine the plus minus when he was worth a damn. Somewhere in the 3 digits probably

I'm kinda disappointed with the amount of "Sengun sucks" kinda comments that still go on in year 4 any time he has a bad or even mediocre game. It's very very clear that this guy is, bare minimum, a future all-star in the NBA and a really, really good basketball player. Even if everything goes wrong--bar career-ending injury, knock on wood--he's going into the "Hall of Very Good".

Sure, some of his stans have been over-the-top, sometimes for nationalistic reasons. I don't know if he'll end up being our best player--starting to think that might be Amen Thompson. But he's great, and he's very important to our team success.

Even if he ends up being something along the lines of "Domantas Sabonis but an average instead of sh*tty defender", that's not a liability, that's a key building block, and you work around his weaknesses.

Sengun is a key part of the young core and we just signed him to a five year contract so maybe at least stop rooting against him and acting pleased when he has a rough game? Is that too much to ask?

9 assists and 1 turnover from your starting C.

    Team best in plus/minus. +17

Number 1 in plus/minus on the season.

Tweet it out @Clutch! Don’t get spoiled! :D FOUNDATIONAL PLAYER!

Yeah, Amen doesn't get into the position to take that game-winning shot if not for the possession just before...

If someone doesn’t like Alpi as a player, sure, they’re entitled to their opinion. But disliking him because of some overzealous dumbasses on Clutchfans is so incredibly unfair to a good kid who is a phenomenal teammate. I understand that it’s just human nature to associate fans with players, but those guys don’t represent Alperen Sengun. The way Alpi carries himself is the true representation of who he is

If he can catch up to Sabonis’s strengths, but also continue to get double and triple teamed like he is, we are in f’ing business.

Udoka was calling postups down the stretch for Alperen for a reason, he is really damn good.

Celtics had their best defender on Alperen for a reason.
