Is Jalen out?

Celtics also opened their bids (for the new owners) last week. They're trying to save money before the sale.

 

Kornet smacked him in the head and he had to go back to the locker room. Probably checking him for a concussion.

 

First half +/- tells the story for the Rockets. Fred and Jalen were complete dogs on both ends.

This was a blown opportunity to have a significant halftime lead but, once again, the Rockets finished the 2nd quarter terribly. On the other hand, one could argue they were lucky DB hit 5 threes.

Alpi looks intimidated and helpless. He scared of tall trees because he can't shoot the ball when his defender backs off when he's 12-feet from the basket.

One thing for sure: Rockets definitely can't ride on the backs of Amen and DB to a win. The odds of both guys finishing with 30+ points is close to nil. Alpi and Jalen are gonna have to show up and play worth a dime. Tari's contribution on the defensive end more than made up for his poor shot selection. I have no hope Fred can do anything against the Celtics. He looks like rookie Bryce Young out there.

I think JT is going to erupt in the 2nd half. Celtics are going to use PnRs to target Fred/Jalen/Alpi and get him easy matchups.

 

Cautiously optimistic on this. Don't want him to come back before he's ready. That's what I'm afraid about with Auburn's Broome coming back Saturday for 33 mins. on his first game back. Of course I'm biased but would like to see us pick up Broome somehow. He's not a lottery pick or anything but, I believe he can play.

 

Maybe Tillman can buy them and trade Steven Adams for Tatum and brown

How was Jalen bad on defense? Can you be specific without pointing to +/-. Just curious what you saw on the court.

 

Games like this show where our weak link is.

 

Watching the game on League Pass, which is the Boston feed, and shockingly their broadcast crew have not been total homers. I seem to remember Boston being the worst in the past.

Thats the crazy thing Peter. Amen doesn't look scared at all. Amazing to watch

 

Jalen only took 4 shots. He had 4 asts and playing good D before he got hit on the head. 1 pt, 4 ast, 1 stl in only 13 mins isnt bad at all.

Sengun also has 4 asts and 4 rebs. Not a surprise when you are passing you aren't scoring.

Guy, just watch the stupid game. I think Jalen made one good defensive play but he was lost most of the time. Sorry, but I can't recall all 40 1st half possessions by the Celtics.
