Make the hire, you cowards. I want to know which playbook I need to update '25. It's in the game.

Please don’t think that I consider Slowick and Harden remotely comparable- Harden is a hall of famer. Slowick is a guy.

I really want Chip Kelly which means it won't happen, I don't know enough about Jerrod to know if he would be a good pick but CJ raves about him. I didn't think Demeco would fire him Bobby (Thank you sir) but he did so I am going to have faith that whoever he hires will be an upgrade, but it will be a tad anti climatic if it is Jerrod...........but I am all in on Demeco and will trust his process, but if he picks an unknown then he will have to answer for it if it fails or he will be a bigger hero if he succeeds. I really want the team to build around knowing the title for the next few years goes through KC, Buffalo and Baltimore so build the team that can defeat them in their climate. Our window of having CJ on a small salary is closing, watching Jayden Daniels had me jealous but if you look at the Lions, they were in year 3 of the rebuild and I would take that so this HAS to be our year

That’s actually wild. CJ said he wanted him back. Obviously he plays the social game well.

The fact that we all want Chip Kelly is actually making me kind of nervous. Remember when we all wanted Bill Cower? Or Brock Osweiler? Or Deshaun Watson? Hell, even Bill O'Brien was a popular hire at the time....

Be positive... remember 2 years ago when the majority of us wanted Cap.... see how that is going so far :)

Yeah... I was NOT part of that group. IIRC I wanted Fitzmagic back or Joe Webb III or Jacoby Brissett via draft (he is from WPB)... lol

Why does it make you nervous? He's a good OC.

I'm going to be pretty let down if it's just a Jerrod Johnson promotion.

This hire can't be a first time OC. Did we forget the early Kubiak years where we had a great offense, but kept hiring first time defensive coordinators (Richard Smith, Frank Bush)...then when they finally got Wade in there it all clicked.

This is just the inverse of that. Don't waste 3-4 years of Stroud's career with first time playcallers. Maybe Jerrod will prove me wrong but I'm taking Chip, Lafluer, Leftwich, Mccarthy, or Pederson over him.

I don't know how good Bobby will or will not be. However - keep in mind that he was Ryans choice after the top two choices for OC were gone, and he needed someone to do the job. Also, it never felt like a long term hire, because he lacked any real experience and the Texans were not expected to be world beaters with a rookie QB at the time.

Bobby would do well going to another organization with a really strong offensive culture and boning up on being an assistant OC and then an OC.

I like that Ryans put his personal feelings aside and did what he thought was right for the org.

Well, we also all wanted Demeco as HC. So far, the first 2 years of his tenure have been pretty decent. Breath of fresh air from the previous 6 years...

I am with you man. I don’t care for it either but blasting someone publicly is also no bueno.
