I would give it a low chance, but it's entirely plausible that this stupid rhetoric catches on within the base, and the politicians will have little choice but to 'act' on it. I don’t think Trumpers really comprehend what going to war with the cartels really means. In some parts of Mexico nobody works for the cartels and everyone works for the cartels at the same time. The cartels are essentially oligarchs and they often own a majority of many legit industries as well. Like are you going to raid the hotels in Cancun or Talum? It’s not like they are all just sitting in compounds in the desert by themselves or something.
