What is this worth to you? You want to get into the playoffs with a predictable lob big, or a guy that draws literal triple teams? Tread carefully my Timelord/Bamba dorks. This sort of attention is extremely rare. A handful of guys get defended like this. Tweet it out.
The gravity he creates works wonders for Amen. On the other hand, Amen can defend like a man possessed, and he can clean up if Alpi misses, because he is SO bouncy. They complement each other so perfectly. IF Jalen can keep up his level of play and can keep improving...that's a big three.
(Did anyone see Alperen face up Mobley from 10 feet behind the three point line, set up a R to L crossover and finish with a lefty jump hook over the top. Just incredible stuff for a guy that size…)
The problem is, when Alpi passes to Amen he misses or gets fouled but when Alpi misses a shot he dunks it in the air (reb plus points for Amen, nothing to Alpi). Give Alpi his assists. When Amen is around throwing the ball to basket should be counted an assist.
Only superstars, franchise players are double doubled or tripledoubled... I dont care who scores more who blah blah.. Sengun is him...lt does not matter he has dipsiz in finishing.. His impact is beyond numbers..
That is the idea, if you can clean up the missed shots, please convert the passes too. Whatever, they are both great now
Notice Amen was already sliding to the dunker spot when every defender's attention was locked in to Sengun. It could have been an easy lob assist for Alpi. Either way, Mobley wasn't able to stay with him one on one.
Can you imagine KPJ and Silas trusting Sengun enough to let him point center it. I know Wood would do it but that's because he grabbed the rebound and refuse to pass it out. That's probably the coolest part. Fvv.
Amen said after the game that he and Alpi talked about how they would win this together. They are building great chemistry. Alpi cleaned up a couple of Amen misses, and vice versa. These two are our future.
Amen,Sengun and lf Jalen joins them consistently, no later than 3 years, Rockets is a contender. This year, we already surpassed expectations.. Future is bright
I think Alpi's FT issues are with his legs. He's not bending his knees much if any on his misses and it throws off his whole motion just enough. Hopefully, one of the coaches corrects it.
I haven't thought anyone could take this comment seriously. That was only to show how capable Amen is for cleaning up the missed shots? Sorry for not guiding you with a smiley.
This in an issue transferable to his elbow jumpers as well. He's repeatedly said thats feels more confortable with the one legged shot than with the normal jumper. He needs to introduce the use of his legs and the fluid motion in his shots (shooting in rhythm). Exercises like receiving the ball in a stride stop, flexed, and then set up the shot in a unique move. Has worked a little bit on his 3s, the distance, the touch, but not on the proper mechanics of the standard jumper/FT. If you see his FTs, half of them are ilegal because he touches the paint before the ball touches de rim. Actually, I think he has corrected that recently, but still is not using his legs. Same with the jumper. Imagine Sengun with the Embiid jumper/Jokic jumper... and it shouldn't be hard for him to get it since he already possesses the most difficult factor, the touch. Motherf*cker is so talented than can score 20 even without this, but should be the #1 goal for him this summer, ahead of the 3 PT range. Rivals give him too much separation and he never punishes.
