Wonder if they will keep with the Kubahan system or move from it. I love the scheme but it's not like we mastered even the basics of it. Although Stroud really took to coaching on the handoffs in play action, leans down and extends with intention.
I don't know why anyone is surprised, I've been saying they would fire him, but people are so pessimistic about everything they didn't want to believe it. All the "Demeco is too nice..." narrative is just based on the image they see of him that he puts out there but people also forget that Caserio is cut throat. The one constant of the Caserio regime is that he doesn't hesitate to fire people that he thinks is hurting this organization. For Slowik it really was the worst career move a guy could have made sticking around. I never really understood why a guy still waiting to make his name in the league doesn't jump at the opportunity to coach ANY team.
I am in shock. I did not think that the Texans would pull the trigger. He was one of Demeco's best friends. I hate that part of it. The families were probably close. It definitely was the right move. The play calling was so predictable and adjustments so slow.
Saleh had to fire Mike LaFleur while with the Jets, his brother Matt made Saleh his best man at his wedding. It happens.
