We really are a legit top team. We have quite a few very quality wins. Cleveland was trying everything to win, and it wasnt enough. We arent catching teams off guard, we are just better.
So can we agree patience pays off? Just let this crew develop, we're stacked with talent and are watching homegrown stars and superstars develop. We need to be the opposite of those Harden OKC teams, and let them max out thier potential as a team for years.
I would not look to jettison Sengun, Amen, Tari. Or even Cam or Green at this point. That said, I'd be looking hard for shooting and would be open to a star. Granted, of the guys I'd want, I think only one will be available.
Despite lacking playoff experience, if they continue playing like they are playing and can keep the 2nd/3rd seed, they should have a good opportunity to advance to the 2nd round. I think they would have a hard time getting to WCF, but could be a threat due to their defensive identity where that **** matters a lot more in the playoffs. Very excited about the playoffs.
Cleveland may have had the best record but in no way do I believe they are the best team. Several teams I think would beat them in a 7 game series. Boston, OKC, Denver, Houston .... maybe NYK & Minny who is quietly back in the playoff race, Even the Clippers - Harden would hunt Mitchell down on every possession ....
Friendly wet blanket reminder that when we get back to the WCF we will have MATCHED the team Tilly bought. I'll be happy to be giddy when that happens.
The Rockets are a legitimate playoff team now. I'm still interested in an upgrade from Aaron Holiday. There is no need to give up even one of the 7 young players. They must be retained. Go Houston Rockets!
Does not matter, I think they were playing their best ball in December...... This is about who is going to play their best in May and June.
Yes, no one can dispute that. But we are a piece away....and have a LONGGGGG way to go. Future is def bright.
I wasn't making any statement about the Rockets, just that I don't buy Cleveland. I think they are a regular season paper tiger ..... they ain't built for the playoffs.
Was talking also about Cleveland. Same thing to me, I think Udoka has people believe they can come closer to a title, and they probably can win a series or two if granted favorable matchups but I just do not see it yet. I am probably a believer once they make the WCF. The injury situation is also very favorable, given that 1 guy or 2 go out and others recover. The Depth is phenomenal.
100% We have talent, obviously, but we don’t have that palyer(s) that let a coach just sit back, relax and get you the W most of the time. We’re a hard-coached team: prep, game planning, game management, discipline, motivation, mindset… It’s all Udoka. Exceptional coach!
I think we saw Ben Sullivan try to coach half a game or 1 game and it was similar tactics but he has not gotten that authority... Tough to think about a mediocre coach instead of Udoka on the bench.
I have little doubt that when it comes nails to nails, they probably keep Udoka over the mistress in the organization......if it comes to that. Tilman is many things but not woke.
