    https://www.wsj.com/finance/banking...-sell-billions-of-dollars-of-x-loans-c609beb1

Banks are getting ready to sell billions of dollars in debt borrowed by Elon Musk’s X, bringing Wall Street a step closer to exiting the nerve-racking deal that financed the social-media company’s buyout.

Morgan Stanley bankers have reached out to investors ahead of a planned sale next week of up to $3 billion of debt the bank and others such as Bank of Americaand Barclays lent to complete Musk’s 2022 buyout of the company then known as Twitter, people familiar with the matter said.

The banks hope to sell senior debt at 90-95 cents on the dollar, while retaining more-junior holdings, the people said. The banks just sold approximately $1 billion of debt in a private transaction to several investors, some of the people said.

The debt has been an albatross on the banks since they backed Musk’s $44 billion deal with around $13 billion in financing. The price Musk paid for Twitter was high, even at the time of his purchase, and the company’s rocky performance had knocked down the value. The deal is considered one of the worst that banks agreed to finance since the 2008 financial crisis.

I just never understood what it means.

Like how does "white guilt" play out in a day to day life setting for a average German citizen?

A lot of conservatives say the same about America also. I just want to also ask them how does this look and effect lives day to day for white Americans?

    I agree with that.

It is important to know your history to prevent horrible things from happening again. I didn't like his comment there.

That said, knowing your history also means to not mass import the people who have a high percentage among them who would love to repeat what Hitler did.

If you really care about combating antisemitism, you don't mass import their worst enemies.

The biggest danger to Jewish life in Germany today does not come from neo-nazi skinheads. It comes from Arab and Afghani Muslims.

I think if a child was to sincerely learn about the history of how Nazis came into power in Germany, they'd learn about how a core part of fascism and Nazi ideology is fear mongering migrants and non-aryans. Its literally one of the core premises of fascism and Nazi ideology.

You don't think Nazis were waxing lyrical like you did about migrants raping German women during the 1930s?

I don't know the full context of Elon's speech and what he talked about with immigration.

I agree with you mostly there though. It's a serious threat to have extremist fundamentalist parties abuse liberal speech and religious rights to peddle hate and oppression. Some countries didn't lay the ground rules down for deportation and are now stuck in paralysis in fears of looking unfair or racist.

Keep the good modernists who are willing to engage in good faith and kick out the bad even if they're seeking for asylum.

A bit hubristic for the West to assume migrants with heavy religious indoctrination will change after a generation or even a couple of decades living the host country into Better Higher Modern Values of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Sounds like a bullshit excuse to extract them of cheap labor while protecting job openings of natives.

Any carrot and stick approach by governments is mostly wrongheaded in that it's more push than pull. Immigrants have to want to become a native over time for it to work.

He's named Elon in part because his father read that book. Elon knows full well that it's not some coincidence.

    https://www.mind-war.com/p/the-elon-how-a-nazi-rocket-scientist

Errol Musk says he built rockets as a youth in South Africa and was taught that “the head of the Mars colony would be called ‘the Elon.’” Since Musk’s maternal grandfather had the middle name Elon by coincidence he thought, “I like that name because it means something to me.”

In Bangladesh why do you see less women wearing hijabs and wearing more modern Western attire and are more independent while being career driven in wealthy districts in Dhaka like Gulshan but see far more traditional religious hierarchies and misogyny in poor rural villages in Bangladesh?

Why do you think that is? What's your experience with "religious indoctrination" in the global South and the mIddle East?

    Just not profitable.

On the other hand, how can you put a price on misinformation?

Pre-Nazi controlled Germany was a very odd place. There was a lot of contradictions in Germany and Austria. Less than 1% of Germans were Jews and yet they were a top target of politicians in Germany. About 75% of those that were Jews in Germany were not actively practicing or were agnostic. We are talking in relative terms about a group of people that openly practiced Judaism that amounts to 1:500 Germans. Yet within twelve years, 75% of all Jews in Europe would be dead.

Scapegoating and conspiracy theories played a big part in creating an environment where it was acceptable to commit genocide.

When I was in Germany last - I saw a lot a issues between Muslim immigrants and European Germans.... they just do not seem to be comfortable with immigrants.

I don't think Nazism cared about the theology aspect of Judiasm. The hate of Jews is more about ethnic bigotry and conspiracies that Jews conspire leftist causes like mass migration. The hatred of Jews stemmed from the perception that they controlled the money and worsened German culture and society by attempting to diversify the nation.
