I stayed at the Windsong Resort last year and it was the best ocean trip of my life. I ate at Somewhere Cafe on the beach was next to my resort, Magnolia, Coco Bistro, and Da Conch Shack. The clearest water is near the resorts and when I asked a local where the best water is he said near Prince's house so we rented a car and drove there but the beach and water wasn't that nice. The snorkeling is really nice. You have to get reservations pretty early for the nice restaurants and/or horseback ocean riding for your girl. We got upgraded to a Honeymoon suite. Really just enjoy the beautiful ocean, beach, and water. If you are going to drive be careful... you have to drive on the left haha.
By Prince, do you mean Prince the musician? (never mind, just googled it) Thanks for the info. We are staying here: http://www.luxuryretreats.com/desti...-and-caicos/ocean-point/villa-turquesa-112042 Some friends are spending a couple of nights at Windsong than joining us Saturday at the house. We have reservations at a couple of those places for dinner and hope to get a snorkeling trip in. I have driven on the left a lot and nearly killed my wife a couple of years ago when I had the audacity to turn right on green.
Incorporate there and give Uncle Sam the finger. At least in the early '00s it was a great place. Don't remember much other than beach, bar, boat, bank, office. Not necessarily in that order.
Anyone been here recently? We have a trip there coming up. Any recommendations welcome. Thanks. P.S.: I hope @bobrek is ok.
Went there last year. Good snorkeling. Sopadilla beach was great. They have this "fish fry" every Thursday night at this big public gathering space that's basically an excuse to sell overpriced food and knick knacks to tourists. But otherwise it was very unremarkable. Tbh the problem is it's too family friendly. Just lacks character. The up shot of that is that it's very safe.
