My whole premise was originally having Salazar play 20 games at 1B was ridiculous if Bregman comes back. Please tell me what odds you’ll give me that he even starts there 10 times if Bregman comes back. And if you took the amount of games they played last year, they literally averaged over 140. Once again, you are at 130…not 140. Also, when asked about Yordan, your answer was he needs rest…nothing about expected missing games. So now you’re back tracking on that.
It’s just that you never stated that you were calculating possible time missed with injury. I asked why you would bench Yordan 32 games and you said it was to preserve him for the playoffs. If healthy, Yordan would never be benched 32 games.
Just met Hunter Brown at chic fil a Missouri City. I asked him for a **** the rangers inscription. He laughed and said he couldn’t. Asked if he’d really did the **** the Yankees one and he said yeah but he got in a lot of trouble and that he was younger then.
I saw Hunter Brown at a grocery store in Missouri City yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
"The final decision will be up to Pressly." No it will not. The final decision will be up to Mrs. Pressly. She is a native of Houston who will be unlikely to be happy about a move.
...I did keep receipts that I was one of the few folks that kept hope alive that position changes and Bregman's return were possible even after the Tucker trade and Walker singing, right?
https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/60...cubs-astros-update/?source=emp_shared_article Ryan Pressly has not yet approved or rejected a potential trade from the Houston Astros to the Chicago Cubs, a league source told The Athletic on Friday. Pressly is deliberating on a fresh start versus staying where his family considers home. At the same time, the Cubs and Astros are also engaged with free-agent third baseman Alex Bregman, according to sources briefed on those discussions, though it’s unclear where those teams exactly stand. The Astros re-engaged with Bregman in recent days, multiple league sources told The Athletic, joining the Cubs, Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers and Toronto Blue Jays as potential suitors for his services. While the Cubs are trying to be opportunistic and get creative on a Bregman deal, sources indicated their current budget for baseball operations does not leave much room for the All-Star third baseman. Like the Astros, the Cubs have an ownership group that is reluctant to go over the $241 million luxury-tax threshold. The Tigers are also involved in trade discussions for Pressly, a league source said, but it may be unlikely for Pressly to accept a deal there. According to one league source, the Astros are “doing whatever they can” to trade Pressly. Houston’s primary return in the Pressly trade would be salary relief and some flexibility for other acquisitions. Pressly is guaranteed $14 million this season, a conspicuous number for the Astros, given the presence of All-Star closer Josh Hader.
It’s not that big of an “if”. He has missed less than 32 games in 3 of his last 4 seasons. Way less in two of those seasons.
This can’t be made up. It definitely explains the pimple faced complexion he’s rocking. What an immature douche. How he’s changed.
