The fact that they're still talking about it 4 days later - a lifetime in Internet terms both shows how resonant Nazism is (in terms of being repulsive) and how much the Nazis lobby wants it to be otherwise (we actually haven't crossed that bridge yet) As a pure political strategy, making fun of Trump Musk and their fellow Nazis is probably much more successful now that they're in power.
This is the problem with the media people consume. Conservatives are very engaged by rage bait - actually everyone is - but conservatives are more motivated by fear almost by definition. It's so easy to trick them with a constant feed of things they are already triggered by and scared of - trans, Muslim, the border, whatever. Then they point to those thing and say "that's what the left believes in". They've made their own boogieman that doesn't resemble the other side in the slightest. The little I ever talk politics in the real world with my friends who are mostly slightly left leaning, the topics that trigger the right, that they post about day in and day out on this board are never talked about. We don't care about any of that more than - let people do whatever they want in their personal life and stay out of their business.
Again missing the point. We know Steve Bannon is terrible. When you lose the Chaney family and Steve Bannon it might be a warning sign of how bad thing have become.
So the new rules are if you defend someone saying "My heart goes out to you" while putting his hand over his heart and then lifting his hand toward the crowd by saying it was not a Nazi salute, you then own everything they ever said? lol
The new rule is if you believe Jews organize to make white people the enemy it's fair game to call that person a supporter of Nazi ideology.
Question for the leftist. Did you actually watch what he did with the audio or did you just watch your leftist propaganda showing him putting his hand on his chest and raising it with no audio? Context matters. He actually said "My heart goes out to you" while putting his hand over his heart then raising his hand toward the crowd. He did not raise his hand saying "heil Hitler" like your leftist propaganda would have you believe. .
The vast, vast majority people presenting things "out of context" in this instance are all the Elonstans and wingnuts stumbling all over themselves to post still-frames of liberals with their hands raised
I get it now. Anyone who says anything bad about the Jews is a Nazi. That makes you a a Nazi because you have said plenty bad about them. This should not be limited to only white people.
Why do you think audio of him saying some stupid phrase about his heart that has nothing to do with Nazism means he didn't do a Seig Heil. Elon Musk is an edgelord Nazi. That means he likes trolling. That means he will try to be cute and say something benign while doing his pretty damn empathic Seig Heil so dipshits like you can be like "did he really do a Nazi salute?!?" And do you understand I thought Elon was a Nazi even before the salute? Because I think him agreeing to the idea that Jews organize to do propaganda against white people makes him a Nazi. Him chilling with the ADF makes him a Nazi. When I saw him do the Seig Heil I was like "ya that's a Nazi doing a Seig Heil".
Yes anyone who believes in essentially the shahada of the Nazi ideology is a ideological Nazi. You believe in Nazi things... You a Nazi. Its amazing how that works.
If someone raising their hand toward the crowd after saying "My heart goes out to you" is a Nazi salute then anyone raising their hand toward a crowd isa Nazi salute. Your side is the one that set the new rules. You do not like it when they are turned back at you. TBH, the whole thing is stupid. None of those are Nazi salutes including when Elon did it.
I don't think it's a "nazi salute" either (in terms of intent, but in terms of function woof lol), but you either care about the truth or you don't. It's really that simple. If context only matters to you from one side of the partisan divide, then you don't have a soapbox to stand on.
I agree with you 100%. Like I said I think the whole thing is stupid from both sides. Thank you for being rational. You are one of my favorite people in this D&D with the opposing view. Much respect!
He did the Nazi gesture twice and then said "My heart goes out to you". It's interesting that you said it out of order like the right wing propagandists. Did you watch the video or just consume a bunch of tweets and internalize the message?
https://iselonmuskanazi.com/ But to be fair..... Old Musky was tripping balls on some gnarly gummies and vibing out to some ketamine.
