no kidding the amount of times he was our best player is probably also equal to the amount of times he was our worst player this year. And I've actually started to think Jalen is turning the corner cuz I can point to a big change in the way he shoots that helped his efficiency. So what use to be I really wanted him traded to now he may have a future. But only blind Jalen fans would say he's our best player this year.
Jalen JUST made the defensive play of the game last night on Garland and has significantly improved every year defensively. Sengun is targeted almost EVERY possession for a reason. Teams don't go at anybody on the team like they do Alperen Sengun Low IQ?
That's just false. Nobody's targeted on the team more than Sengun like I stated. His foot speed has always been too slow
Being targeted doesn't mean he's bad at it, literally trust him to get a stop more than I do Jalen. Jalen made 1 play last night, Sengun made 4 straight plays last week and you say he sucks at defense. He got targeted 4 straight plays and it was steal block steal steal. Sure looked like it worked. It's just the nature of the nba. Whoever plays center will get targeted. Even DPOY Rudy Gobert gets targeted. Jalen excels only at guarding small quick guards. Anyone else just physically dominates him and his team defense sucks. It's like you didn't even watch the last two games as detroit and Cleveland targeted him all night. Cade took him to school. I owe Rocketchamp an apology. For the longest time, I have thought he was just a teenager with his foolishness, but after looking at his join date, he is obviously in his 20's. He wasn't gonna shoot over 50% every game the rest of the season, like every player there will always be bad shooting nights. Unfortunately, his lack of ability to consistently get to the line means there will always be some low scoring output games. He def gets a bad whistle and clearly got fouled a couple times last game, but he doesn't just force the refs to make a call like some other players and sometimes shies away from contact. If he never learns this ability, he can still be a number 2/3 and a very good player for a long time, which is okay. His 5 assists and good defense last game showed he affected the game in other ways. The baseline this year is clearly better than last year. Even before his hot streak, his advanced metrics were improved over last year.
