If the Nuggets can succeed with WB, where no other team has since he was booted from OKC, kudos to their team and coaching staff.

 

if jokic wins a title this year with russ in the nuggets starting lineup, he is a top 5-10 player ever in my opinion

im watching them play and i cant believe what im seeing, it seems jokic maybe because of his knack for triple-doubles has somehow gotten russ to play within himself and westbrook too me has become an underrated passer, their are certain passes russ makes that i see harden struggle to hit consistently

 

It's them but it's also Russ finally doing the stuff he refused to do (stop taking dribble up 3s, screening & diving) the stuff the he is good at but never had to do (entry pass to jokic) plus Jokic is in the phase like Harden was in 2017-20 where he took couch free agents like Kenneth Fried, Danuel House & Gerald Green and made them into good NBA players again

 

It's literally this, he's taking better shots and making his easier 3's. Despite making far less FT's than his prime, his TS% is almost the highest of his career.

If this dumbass would have done this stuff years ago (when the entire world knew he should) he may have a title or 2 already. Instead he was invested in ugly mid range shots and chasing uncontested rebounds. We'll see if he can keep playing this way once he starts getting some hype again.

 

Jokic seems to be the only dude who can make Russ play smart.

 

Westbrook looked good on the Clippers, too. Not this good, but still. Then, the playoffs came around and he became Westbrick again. Wish him well, maybe Jokic helped him discover his brain.

 

Sorry but this whole Jokic quote of Westbrook being misunderstood and people saying he’s been used wrong is just not true. I still have seen the bad Westbrook, and you all as Rockets fan should as well as in their home game against us he was terrible with the unforced turnovers in particular. He’s matured sure, less hostile with reporters, and tried to cut out more of his bad habits, but let’s not pretend they are not still there. He’s just not the same athletically and it’s good to see him embrace his talents and realize he’s not the same player.
