[Chron] Great Wall turns Rockets into bunch of giddy tourists

He's either sick, or just being an a--hole.

I know he wants to get traded and everything, but miss out once-in-a-life opportunity like this is just low.

 

I wish there were more stories like this that chronicled the Rockets' time off court. I'm still so anxious for the season to start, I'll take any piece of info on them I can get. I'm glad Tracy McGrady is having a good time, that's huge.

There's an old saying that:" You're not a true man until you step into the great wall."

When you walk all the way to the top of the great wall, and see the views in front of your eyes, the feeling is just unbelivable, words can't even describe the feeling.

 

Did Nachbar, Ward, and Zimmerman make the trip? Didn't see them show in any of the pictures. Maybe they went up ahead of everyone else...Just thought I would point that out since people brought up Peja not going there.

 

All three of those guys were on the trip to the wall - Yao was the only Rockets player in China not to go. I'm sure he's seen it before though.

 

Thats it, because of that comment, i'm going to average less than 9 rebounds this year just to piss off the board.

I wonder why is everyone saying "this is a once-in-a-lifetime kinda experience"??? It's not that China bans tourists from the Great Wall. Anyone can go visit.

 

Maybe because most people aren't keen enough to go to China in their own time. So when an oppoturnity came up , it's sorta "once in a life time".

 

Because you would feel differently when you are there the 2nd time.

 

And I wonder why.

Hello all. I saw this posted in another Forum and I wanted to know if anyone knows anything about it. Not really news...

According to Chinese articles, Tmac wanted to take a piece of the Great Wall of China home, so he broke a piece right off the wall.


There is a pic with Tmac holding a piece of concrete that must be a part of the Great Wall. MoT is in the back taking a photograph. I can't get the pic to post though.
