An unprotected FRP is a reach for Johnson. Kings owner is stupid enough to go through with it though. They've certainly have had a hot stretch with the coaching change, but I don't see it being sustainable throughout the rest of the season.
Sounds good to me BUT i’d almost rather give up holiday and keep Tate. Just in case Tari can’t play the whole season. Ultimately I’m talking out of both sides of my mouth because I’m wanting to give Shepherd more minutes while holiday is probably the better option to have for a title run this next 1.5 years
They're good players but if your goal is to compete for a title, those 2 don't matter unless the kings had someone who was far better than both of them. They're not worth building around, because you will go nowhere. They have no path, if i was a kings fan i would want them both gone (though like i said i think sabonis is a negative asset on his deal).
lol you never know anything, but just based on what the team is saying, how it seems to be behaving, they don't seem to be willing to move young players who are developing well. Lavine is an expensive gamble that made sense when Jalen Green was basically at the worst point in his career. Still the team said no. I doubt they say yes now.
Omg Pistons are still shopping Stewart. One of the best rim protectors in the NBA (by defensive FG% I believe) and a career 34% 3PT shooter on 3-4 attempts already. Closes a lot of games for them. Shooting terribly so far this season, but FT% is at a career high on an upward trend. $15m per season for 4 seasons so you are getting value here. Sengun/Jabari/Stewart with a touch of Adams is a very good future big man rotation. From what I understand from Pistons fans, ownership is in love with Duren even though he's not developing fast enough. I feel like they are making a mistake giving up on Stewart. 6'9 in shoes, 7'2 wingspan. Think a project mini JJJ coming off the bench. Still 23 years old, his jumper and attitude can be worked on for another 2 years under Udoka I think. Very tough player. Perfect for minutes with either Sengun or Jabari. I think with that 4 year super affordable contract, he's worth a top 14 protected pick and expiring contracts. Personally wouldn't mind giving them Dillon especially since we are gaining defense elsewhere but I doubt the team is realistically going to move brooks this season. Landale and Tate for Stewart works salary wise. The only pick I'd give them is one that's likely to land in the 15-21 range in a non-special draft. If they're open to that we'd be in good shape for the second half and to cover for Jabari. Alright so many small trades available for the Rockets. They seem to be sniffing around. Let's see what happens.
Maybe Dallas is re-thinking trading away Gafford now... Mavs' Dereck Lively II out months with ankle fracture
Cod mentioned the Pistons are interested in Cam. Would you trade Cam towards Stewart in lieu of draft capital?
The more I think about this... maybe an ideal solution is getting Ball 1) Acquire another big man (Vuc, Olynyk, Time Lord, Collins) using Tate + Landale in a trade 2) Sign Ball if/when bought out by Bulls Playoff rotation FVV - Ball JG - Cam Amen - Brooks (I said what I said) Bari - Tari Sengawd - Vuc/ Olynyk / RW3 / Collins + Adams Could make some noise
Hmm. Maybe if they sent us a swap as well. Whitmore has a chance of being a really good scorer in his mid 20's.
He’s super limited and forces you to play a certain way. He’s completely useless to a team that wants to win, only value is floor raising. There’s a reason only the worst organizations go after him.
Taking nearly 60% of your shots as two-pointers beyond 10ft from the basket is utterly insane and idiotic in 2025 Nobody can be efficient with a scoring profile like that in an era when scoring 110 is a below-average offense.
I don't see anyone at this point that moves the needle over anyone on the roster that wouldn't cost more than they are worth. I say stand pat and let the guys continue to learn how to win together. They can make decisions in the off-season.
We need a PG who can shoot the ball without committing too many turnovers. FVV and Jalen will become the primary beneficiaries.
No, thanks. That's too much for Stewart. I like him, but not that much. Cam is becoming very valuable for the Rockets.
