The Heat better trade Butler soon. He must be killing their morale. How is it possible for a team to be losing by 24 points at home to the Blazers?

I wouldn't expect any of those picks to be better than 20 and all very likely worse.

But this does allow PHX to trade away the picks that they have swaps on and swap these picks.

Say they trade this years pick, we have swap rights, the team they trade it to would get the worst of our / phx pick .... they can swap next years pick.

They aren't good picks by any means, but it did give them a more options than they had.

I don't know what they could expect to return for 3 picks likely in the late 20's and 3 swaps also likely late 20's.

Brooklyn has the other side of the 2025 Phoenix swap rights so they can't trade this year's pick.

Phoenix has 6 FRPs that are ugly. Besides maybe OKC and Boston, I'm not sure swaps with any of their picks are worth much.

Overall, this move reeks of desperation. Not sure this helps them unless another team does something really stupid. Granted, they could already have moves lined up and know someone is willing to do something stupid. I just don't see why anyone would take Bael's contract for any less than the 2031 Phoenix pick.

The Jimmy Butler trade could happen in the next few days, with potential teams such as the Hornets, Pistons, Raptors, and Wizards getting involved as facilitators, per @VinceGoodwill

“There have been whispers of the Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors getting involved as well, but it seems the momentum is geared toward this getting done soon, perhaps in the next few days. Detroit and Charlotte could operate as facilitators for a large deal, too, sources told Yahoo Sports.”

If the Suns get Jimmy we should really consider cashing in on those Suns picks sooner than later. Jimmy opens the window for the suns for at least 3 more years.

Why? Jimmy is 35, going to be 36 this year. I get it, players are playing well into the late stages in their career in this day and age, but nothing to be as concerned about having to cash in our chips. Just let the process play out. Time is not on their side and since they are a 2nd apron team, they are severely limited in the team they can build. They can't even participate in the buy out market I believe.

Pat Riley and the brain trust at the Heat are geniuses at taking lower-round picks that are less expensive and finding quality players. They've been doing it for years.

If Phoenix is offering them some combination of lower picks for Butler, the Heat may love this option. This is why we (or someone else) should go out of our way to outbid and keep Butler off the Sun's roster.

If they don't land Butler, their season is probably toast.

Those picks about to lose some value soon, no more fox, Giansis even Durant, rockets about to fail with so many first picks , first nets now suns, instead they gonna get low mid tier valued first players

Pat Riley still churns out winners, they may not have the most talent, but they have been highly competitive for what seems like decades.

Jimmy Butler playing next to Harden would have earned him a title. But Butler wanted to be in the glitz and glamour of Miami Beach. I think he now realizes all that pizazz is artificial.

I laughed when the news came that he was open for a trade with Houston. Because I doubt the feeling is mutual. Sure he’s still has game, but I doubt the Rocket want his contentious attitude anywhere near their young core of players.

I haven’t heard a peep about Houston being interested in Butler since the initial news came out the Butler included Houston in the teams he’d be willing to be traded to.

Is Beal really that much better than Middleton?

I don't see how the Bucks get much better by taking Beal for Middleton/Portis/Connaughton.

It really just kills their depth. Might as well buy Giannis' ticket out of Milwaukee.

I don't get how a Lillard and Beal backcourt would work. They might score, but isn't there trademark defending?
