We need to severely limit EOs, Congress needs to do their job. The President is not a King or dictator, they can't legislate from the Oval office, the Constitution forbids it. All EOs should be legislated from both sides. DD
Yeah only thing it does is clog up our judicial system with lawsuits after lawsuits. That's why he did so much at once, and put some really insane ones in there for good measure. Overwhelm the system with crazy stuff, and the moderately crazy stuff will get through with no problem. All executive orders are though is just words on paper. It's the same thing as if my manager at work wrote an email saying I need the proposal before 4PM. That's different than HR, the CEO, and the Employee signing a contract for the next fiscal year with a written comp plan, and bonuses. That's the equivalent of a bill. An executive order is just directives. A good manager also knows to give direct, specific, and achievable directives. That's more why executive orders need to be curtailed... mainly by the voters, and Congress. Any president that gives out 200 executive orders in a day is not asking for quality results. They are asking for a really pissed off work force, chaos, and half a$$ed results.

It's just an order to the executive branch of government which is within the president's constitutional powers. They are supposed to go through a process of bureaucratic feedback and be reviewed by the department of justice to ensure they are legal before being signed. If it exceeds a president's authority, it can be blocked by congress or the judicial branch. The blame really has to go to congress. They've granted a lot of power to the president through the laws they've passed and when they become deadlocked, the president has to rely on an executive order to get things done.
