If we're talking the entire first half, Sengun with Amen close behind.

If we're talking only the last 8 games, Jalen with no one even close behind.

    Sengun, not even a discussion.
Jalen has been elite the last couple weeks though, this team is really starting to click.
Ultimately I think Amen becomes the guy. With Alp being 1b. Jalen being the elite scorer that can go scorching hot

Sengun second in scoring, first in rebounds, second in assists, first in screen assists, first in box outs, first in BPM, LEBRON, Net Rating, PIE, PER, VORP, On/Off.

    Yeah - it's Sengun.

Jalen and Amen have both been great as well, though.

If Jalen's October/November had been as good as his December/January have been, he would be the MVP. So if he keeps this going for long enough he could take over the title. His season as a whole, though, is still #3 in importance for now.

Lowkey, I actually think Amen has been a close second to Alpi for the season as a whole. His presence playing big minutes at a greatly-improved level has been transformative for our defense and is responsible for most of our improvement from a good defense to a great one. That's not going to show up in the box scores or even the advanced catch-all stats. His offense has also been very, very good--highly efficient and his gravity requires teams to assign one of their best perimeter defenders to stick to him like glue, which opens things up for Jalen and Alpi.

Overall, I think the MVP is still Alpi, though I'm not happy with his decline in scoring efficiency. He's been operating as the offensive hub more often than anybody but Fred and has been, at least until recent games as teams start to really believe in JG's shooting, consuming the lion's share of opposing defenses' attention. His own defense has been much-improved. He's #10 in the league in rebounds per game. You can basically count on him to give you close to 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists night in and night out. If his scoring were at the same level it was last season I don't think there would be any doubt whatsoever that he deserves to be an All-Star. He's gotta get that fixed, but in every other category he's been huge for us.

I would have voted for Sengun if his finishing around the rim was better, like last season. Amen needs to improve his jumper. He was shooting the ball much better earlier in the season.

I voted for Amen because he is the lynchpin of our defense.

I vote for Jabari. Without his injury we may not have seen the full potential of Amen in the starting lineup.

I don't think you see the Rockets' current record this season without the steadying hand of FVV at the helm

Agree, and most posters here seem to overlook that. But I still wouldn’t call FVV MVP of the team.

It’s Sengun, but it’s great that it’s legitimately debatable between Alpie, Green, and Amen, all of whom have been great.

Sengun. But a SUPER open field for the next 40.. The rest of their core either came on or came into focus in the last few weeks in such a big way.

I'm not sure if Sengun, Jalen, Amen, or the vets are the winners in the second half.I know we are though.

I'm a big fan of the team's record. Not much of a fan of anything else. ;)

Why wasn't Reed Sheppard an option? He dropped 49 points in g keague and won player of the week,
