    Nuance, o ignorant ones.
Michael Jordan OF Turkey ≠ Michael Jordan IN Turkey.
The latter is the equivalent of The Beatles' being more famous than Jesus.

As a Turkish fan, l have never heard about this saying untill Udoka mentioned.
We dont call him MJ of Türkiye..
Yes , lt is true that we have a very talented national team, our league is world's top 3 or 4 league and Sengun is one of our valuable players, but MJ of Türkiye is not familiar to me:)
I dont think Alpi had a chance to watch MJ prime.
So this thread is not serious l believe.

Is everyone here just illiterate or something? He's not comparing the players lol, they're talking about his level of fame. Like walking through the streets with Sengun, everyone recognizes him and wants his autograph, etc. He could've used Taylor Swift or The Rock and it would mean the same thing. Nobody is comparing his basketball skills to Michael Jordan. Geez man.

Well, Sengun is better then Omer Asik, Enes Kanter, Hedo Turkoglu, or Mehmet Okur, so sure.

Not yet imho. Memo was an all star and had a championship ring. Hedo had an mip award and he made clutch shots during play offs like its nothing. Alpi has the highest potential for sure, but hes not there yet. I really wonder how good memo would be if he s playing now. He s the 5 th center with the highest 3 point percentage of all times. I think he would thrive if he s playing recent times.
