Sabonis is a very good player, infact normally the best players in NBA right now are European players, with Jokic as the emperor/king, followed by Giannis, Sabonis, Alpi, Wemby etc.
When Sabonis was 22 years old, he was a bench warmer player while Sengun at 22 years old is the Most Valuable Player of Western conference 2nd seed team.
Sabonis does not have the skillset of Alpi, he can not be a hub or dictate the game like Sengun, but he is better rebounder than Alpi, but he is terrible in defense.
Alpi right now is all terms better player than Sabonis.
Dont look.at the stats because Alpi shares ball with his team mates more.. lf his passes were successfully completed by his team mates, he would be averaging tripple double..

Sabonis is 29, Sengun is 22...
At 22 years old, Sengun's game is more varied and impactful than Sabonis...

He certainly does not have post moves like Sengun, or perimeter moves like Sengun. Not even close and I am shocked that you’d suggest it. I am a huge fan of Sabonis, and just no.

Why does he never get double teamed? He gets snuffed out by one defender when teams lock onto his one move: shoulder to the chest jump hook. :D

Zero fallaway game, zero spins, zero counters… Legit shoulder to the chest jump hook every damn time. That’s fantastic If you are a super role player.

This is true. Sengun averages exactly 10 potential assists a game (sabonis 10.2), so if the rockets shot 100% on his passes he would average 10 assists.

Sabonis can definitely be a hub. And he can knock down jump hooks and wide open threes.

But he is not going to draw a double, because he is massively uncreative everywhere on the floor. Plays like a god damn lumberjack out there. Steven Adams H2H would and has smoked him.

What perimeter moves does Sengun have? Zero spins except the highlight video had Sabonis spinning multiple times lol.

He gets snuffed out thats why his TS% is 10% higher than Sengun. Anyway I'm not a Sacramento fan I dont watch Sac games so Im not interested in delving deep into Sabonis' game. What I do know is Sabonis is a lot more efficient than Sengun and also posseses stretch capability Sengun doesnt have. If that makes him a super role player when Sengun has his FG% dropping every year then maybe Sengun should learn some role player skills.

Shaq only had 1 move but he still much better than Sengun. At the end of the day what you care about are results doesnt matter if its just one move or many as long as it goes in the hoop.

Alperen has a huge bag on the perimeter and in the post. Guy can handle the ball in pick and rolls for Christ’s sake.

I would agree with you that Alperen needs to adapt as much of Sabonis’s game as he can. Namely his toughness and efficiency. Sabonis is a real PRO, and Alperen can be immature.

Shaq had an elite jump hook going either way, and the nastiest drop step of all time, which was the counter.
