To most teams he would but not to us. Phoenix can literally do nothing if they don't trade wit us. They can't rebuild without their picks. If they want to tank for us great let them.

If the rockets trade for Khris Middleton stone should be fired instantly.

sorry for the half-ass response but seriously he has been the pole that keeps the ship stable all season long, with Fred not doing that much this year. None of the youngsters give you that and if you take Dillon out, you’ll struggle in different ways. And he has performed much better than expected for most of the season. I think he definitely earned some more patience. Besides amen in Jabari’s role has worked out quite well.

 

I have been praising Brooks for most of the season. I wasn't praising him for hot shooting though I may have pointed it out. Brooks and FVV have been the backbone of the starting lineups defense until Amen has been starting. Hoping the defense gets sorted out.

Not sure who has been praising Brooks for hot shooting. I thought I was one of the people higher on Brooks.

 

Well, ye know, he is one of the older guys. Vets can be replaced but he has had this up and down for years.

He merely plays better in Houston than he did with Memphis.

Brooks started out the season hot, shooting at 40% from 3. And then he cools off. That's exactly what happened last season too. He's not a 40% level elite shooter. He's a career 35% shooter, not bad but not exactly deadeye. Brooks value on the court is playing great defense and not a liability on offense. His weaknesses are rebounding and being hated by the refs. The latter cost us a game against the Kings. There seem to be several more examples when that happened during crunch time.

 

His defense fell off last year as well, but it might have been injury related. This year he started the season in much better shape, so maybe his defense will stay pretty good down the stretch. I tend to think it will fall off again. Let's see how the team plays in this upcoming stretch of very difficult games. If they hold their own against Cleveland, Boston, and Memphis then no change is necessary and Jabari should come off the bench. If we struggle, especially defensively and on the boards, he should take Dillon's spot.

It's good to have a deep team. Most of the roster has had ups and downs but we're #2 seed!

 

DB's defense fell off so much during the stretch I think there must have been health issues. He just wasn't the same player at all on either end.

If Tari remains healthy, I think the Rockets might do better than expected the next two weeks.
