There’s still a chance for pretty massive improvement in Houston’s roster. One hypothetical: Out: Pressly, Caratini In: Santander, Polanco Opening day roster: 2B Altuve 3B Paredes DH Alvarez RF Santander 1B Walker C Diaz LF Polanco CF McCormick SS Pena Bench: Dubon, Salazar, Singleton, Meyers Rotation: Valdez, Brown, Blanco, Garcia, Arrighetti, Wesneski Bullpen: Hader, Abreu, Scott, Ort, Whitley, Dubin, Sousa IL: Javier, France, McCullers DFA: Hummel, Trammell Optioned: Gordon, Gusto, Contreras, Hernandez, King, Dezenzo, Whitcomb, Leon, Corona That’d probably be the 2nd or 3rd deepest roster in MLB.
I will always support this guy's story, comeback, bat flips, and him being a Houston Astro. Would love to see him more active in the community / causes... I think his story has the ability to inspire generations.
He’s not. Also, he hits like a middle infielder. Would be terrible to start the season with Dubon as one of the 3 starting outfielders.
That was true 2 years ago but no longer. Dubon was 4 outs above average and had 5 defensive runs saved last year, in the OF. He has made himself a very good defender in the outfield. It's a shame his bat hasn't followed.
i just realized Jake Meyers still has options remaining. Something to keep an eye on if Houston adds an OF and if it looks like they are willing to roll with McCormick and Dubon in CF.
What a shocking turn of events. Gave all the teams to the chance to dance like some monkeys for him first, I'm sure he was very amused by that.
Yeah, this would explain why he acted like an ass clown during the process. Had to try to make it seem like this wasn’t the case even though no one was buying it anyway.
