Everyone can have their own bars to judge anything. Why do I need to reduce my standards in judging someone just because someone else is also flawed? This is Jalen Green thread so I talk about him here. If you want to know my thoughts on Sengun you are free to see my post history on him. And if you find any of those opinions disagreeable, feel free to respond and point out where you disagree.
Rox have the 2nd seed in a stacked West Jalen and Sengun cant both be bad if they are getting these results.
To be fair Jalen was concerned about getting hurt and WB just took the criticism too hard as usual lol
I’ll bite. November: 15 games 16.6 PPG 37% FG% 27% 3PT% December: 12 games 19.3 PPG 42% FG% 32% 3PT% January: 7 games 30.6 PPG 52% FG% 47% 3PT% He’s on a hot streak which we have seen from him numerous times before. Hopefully this is him finally breaking through but Jalen is certainly the definition of inconsistent.
They were laughing together in a timeout with Royal Ivey. I think they are just comfortable bantering like this with each other.
Rockets have the 2nd seed through half a season of play and no playoff series to judge. The west this year so far has 8 teams over .500. The East has 9 teams over .500. If there's one year you cannot say this is a "stacked west," this has been the year to say it. And I didn't say Jalen or Sengun is bad. There's a vast difference between star and bad. A player can even be very good without being considered a numero uno.
What are you talking about? West teams have a 55% WR over East teams its the 3rd highest since 2015. East has more teams over 0.500 cuz they keep beating each other. If you put all the teams in one conference and made them fight each other West would clobber the East. Good players cant lead this team to 2nd seed.
Months are completely arbitrary break points, all you did here is skew sample sizes, and sample them at different segments. The below is what happens if you break it down on 10 game running cycle. First 10 games 21ppg on 39/36/86 Next 10 games 18ppg on 40/27/88 Next 10 games 20 points on 46/33/87 Last 9 games 27 points on 48/44/91
It was always silly for people to talk about trading Jalen. When all you have to do is give him space. *Last March: Sengun was out, Jabari moved to Center and Amen gave Green Vertical Spacing. Superstar (until half court trapping in April) *January: Jabari got hurt, Cam-Dillon are a threat to hit 3's, Amen is giving Green Vertical Spacing. Superstar (bring half court trapping and Sengun and Amen attack-finish) I've said it all along.
That's a climbing monthly average. It's half the season. Or the last quarter of the season. 20+ games simply can't be defined as a streak, neither hot or cold.
