    I'm legitimately torn about this.

I like what we've seen from the Rockets so far this year. Playing way better than mostly everyone thought they would. Especially as early as this season.

But adding Devin Booker would definitely be exciting.

Think it’s probably better to let Tari, Jabari, Amen, Green, Sengun, Cam and Reed develop for another year before we trade anybody.

We have one of the best young cores second to OKC. We don’t need to make win-now moves. None of those players have even peaked yet.

I agree. Would instantly fix our problems with having no closer and stagnant offense. The question is who do you give up? I’m starting to like Cam and Green a lot.

It's not nice to pick other people's Bookers

I don’t think the suns want to tank though. They have consistently been in rumors for jimmy butler. They are willing to mortgage their future to pay a 36 year old 100 million lol.

Yeah I had Green on my list of players I like but wouldn't be too upset if he was traded. But I don't think so anymore.

Plus there's always that cool feeling of winning with homegrown talent you drafted.

I would run with what we have.

Giving up key pieces of our core along with draft picks of a team that's going to crater.....not a good deal in my opinion.

Not sure if possible but I would only offer up PHX picks, Eason (injury), and Cam (redundant) in any package. Otherwise role with this young group we got, see what they can do!

Suns have already mortgaged their future, for $208 million. His name is Bradley Beal.

I know they don’t want to tank, but the longer they remain stuck in this corner that have painted themselves into, the worse things will get for them. It doesn’t look like there is any way forward for them. Let’s look at their hypothetical future.

They just ride this year out and end up with a lottery pick that lands at #7 and comes to us. They can make no signings and nobody wants to trade for Beal this summer, so they go into next year with the same team they had this year with a few changes in the margins. Does Durant keep his mouth shut, or does he ask for a trade?

Let’s say Durant does stay put and rides out 2026 with the Suns, playing even less games than the previous year. Once again, they are in the lottery and get pick #5, and it goes in a swap to Orlando. That summer, does Durant re-sign, or does he walk somewhere else? That’s a big gamble. Chances are, he walks. That will give them possibly $15M to sign a free agent.

That’s two years of “not tanking” that could lose tank-worthy draft picks. Eventually, the players are going to start walking in free agency, demanding trades, or simply growing too old to matter while they wait for the team to get this all sorted out.

I’m sure they know that trading either Booker or Durant is probably going to cause the other shoe to drop, so they are trying everything they can, but eventually reality is going to set in that they can either start over now, or wait this out and be forced to trade back in the draft for the next 5 or 6 years, long after the players they were so desperate to hold onto have departed or withered on the vine.

If Booker is traded by this deadline to any team other than Houston, then our PHX picks just got 2x valuable. Because chances are, the new Suns team will be significantly worse.

For me it depends on what you have to give up. I really like the group the Rockets have now, and I can't imagine that they won't get even better with time. Booker would be great and I'd much rather have him than KD, but I don't want him if it's going to break up the chemistry they have going right now.

I don't think the Suns are basing their franchise future of retooling or rebuilding solely based on the 2025 lottery pick. I think the unprotected 2027 suns pick will end up being the one they will be looking to get back if they decide to rebuild.

They are going to want to compete and use Beal and then KD are chips to cash in for someone else.

This is the most important part. Phoenix effectively has to trade with us if they're going to trade AWAY stars. We have all the leverage. \

If they're still struggling as the trade deadline gets closer they're going to be even more and more desperate. If we give them their draft pick back I wouldn't expect that we give them anything else of significant future worth.

I don't want to trade DB but could we do FVV, phoenix first and some filler for Booker? This is one of the reasons we gave FVV and DB so much money :D
