Something's fishy here. No point keeping Jalen if you have Booker it's totally redundant and Booker is better right now overall of course. Durant is a dream fit. Don't waste 4-5 picks on Booker imo. Have faith in Jalen, it will pay off.
To me it is the same as KD I would be very hesitent to trade anything of substance for him Picks? Sure FVV or Brooks? mmmmm ok I guess Young Core ? nah Exactly. That could be the move, but what if Book is traded by this deadline instead… timing will be everything for Stone and this young and budding team.
Booker, FVV, and Brooks have plenty of experience. If you wait 2-3 years, the Rockets lose FVV's experience, never have Booker's and probably Brooks's and would need to wait 2-3 more years to make up that experience. By then, all the young guys are on good to max contracts. I think next year with Amen and others still on rookie deals with Alpi on a good deal could be a very big year. The year after, as well. There is no guarantee the Rockets can get guys around Amen and Sengun once Amen is making bank.
FVV opt-in and trade in the summer. Include the Suns picks. That’s the best offer the Rockets should make. 2025-26 rotation: Booker/Reed Jalen/Cam Amen/Brooks Bari/Tari Sengun
Stick with Jalen now sure but how about in a month or two when he’s shooting 34/27/85 Hou FO saw the path to make Brooks a success, if they think Book can be the man, that’s honestly an easier jump to me lol Book has consistently averaged 26+ on 58-60 TS over the prior 6 seasons, to with 5-6 assists per, and has performed extremely well in the playoffs. He might not be great at one man showing it like Harden but honestly we don’t need that, or play like that. If we can get Book while keeping our defense in tact, I’d go for it.

I honestly thought this was known. Shortly after the Rockets made the trade for the Phoenix picks, this came out. At the time, I thought they could be interested in KD, given his connection with Ime, but they put out there quickly that Booker was more their target.
I don't hate the idea of upgrading Green to Booker, but I'm not giving the Suns back all their picks. Just the 2025 one. FVV plus (talent) plus (all picks) for Booker and Jones? Much more appealing (for us)! Not sure what it does for PHX considering they refuse to tank.
