I will say Apple TV is one of my add Ons that I forget about and then go to binge mode. Right now, I'm watching season 2 of Shrinking, then on to Slow Horses, and then to Silo.
I'm going to re-subscribe when Severance comes back. I l can't wait for that, Slow Horses, Shrinking, Masters of the Air, and For All Mankind.
My wife also loves The new look. It's about fashion around WWII. I watch that with her as a tradeoff for her watching slow horses.
The Mrs convinced me to watch a few episodes of Bad Sisters (also Apple TV) and I have to admit I like it. Plenty dark and funny with convincing dialogue between four sisters. Excellent bad guy too. (This is in season 1 anyway.) Set in Ireland and including bits of Irish slang as a +?
We got 2 episodes in then my wife has been at meetings at Princeton all this week. Will resume tonight upon her return home.
I wasn't really sure I would continue until #4 but mileage may vary! Would like to know if she thinks it's legit Irish enough. I imagine that, if I can understand what they are saying, this is not a very real depiction of Ireland.
This should've either been a 7-8 episode season or have it all wrapped up by the tenth ep rather than adding a third season. Apple doing Netflix things...
I started watching thinking all episodes were up for current season. So, I watched the per the free AppleTV weekend. Then, the final episode ended and I realized the season isn’t all up yet. Doh! I really want to see what happens next. I guess this is how they suck you in to a subscription.
I've been binging it this past week. Seen about 8 episodes so far. I think the finale is this week so I'll be at a good pace. I agree that they're definitely drawing out the show and could cut it down a couple episodes for better pacing. But binging definitely helps to minimize how slow the plot is developing.
Season 2 finale was great! We're now going back to watch season 1 to see if we missed any clues that we didn't understand or make a connection. I also just ordered the graphic novel Wool to read. Sucks we have to wait another year for season 3 but at least seasons 3 and 4 are being filmed now.
Yep. Season 2 finale pretty damn good. I need to go re-read the books again too. Can't wait for Season 3!
Definitely enjoyed season 2 more than season 1 (other than the actors they chose for the other silo minus Steve Zahn, who is always great). I haven't read the books and plan to finish the show before reading them, but my wife has ordered the full set now so I probably won't be able to avoid hearing some spoilers. But I'm very glad they approved the next two seasons so we will (I presume) get a conclusion to this story.
