Stone should be considered the best GM in the association along with GM of the year. The Rockets are 4-8 years ahead of schedule with the youngest roster. We are truly lucky
Yes fart face. How stupid was your take on Stone? U literally look dumb af criticizing a GM with the 2nd seed and the youngest roster with the lowest payroll in 4-5 years. Fool
Same. Its crazy Morey went into a great situation in Philly and messed it up so bad. When he went there, he had Embiid in his prime and while Simmons just had that playoff meltdown, a lot of people were convinced it was just a minor blip. Fast forward to today Morey just wasted Embiid's prime by being obsessed with Harden and Rockets retreads. He also signed Paul George to a horrible max deal and gave up future picks for "win now" moves that never panned out. I think the only good moves he made are drafting Maxey and Mcain. Maybe Morey was the one relying on Eli Wheatus all along cuz I dunno how he still has a job on the Sixers.
Firing Rafael Stone chant really started from ESPN Houston. F those Guys, they don't know what a Rebuild and Drafting looks like, Now you see the Finished Product, without a #1 pick and Rebuilt the Team really well.
How much leverage he had? Nobody but Nets and Knicks knew about their trade. Stone has a poor process when Rockets have the 2nd seed with a bunch of 22 yr olds? About to get a lotto pick the year they go into the playoffs? You can't be serious
I dunno I think Presti and Celtics FO still above Stone. I would put him in that second tier alongside Grizzlies front office. Presti scammed Clippers, Rockets and pretty much every team. They have a bajillion picks and also got stars in JDub and Chet. Celtics FO got rid of Smart and got Jrue, DWhite and Porzingis. Drafted a bunch of good role players like Payton Pritchard. Grizzlies keep getting studs in the bottom of the draft.
Since Morey is the team's president and Elton Brand is the GM, the owner(s) probably don't know which one to fire.
Stone is awesome, point blank. Dude has done the best he can with what he's had to work with and after a long road we are sitting pretty now.

Oh he's just lucking out? He bet big against Durant twice now and twice now it appears to be panning out. It doesn't seem like that's coincidence nor luck. It seems like he may have correctly identified that it's pretty difficult to win/build a good team with an over-the-hill diva who makes 60 million dollars and would rather ride coat tails than carry a team. And in this case, he's paired with Bradley Beal - who can't stay on the court but makes 50+ million. A great many of us saw the value of the trade the day it was made. We correctly sided with Stone on this one. You couldn't see the trees for the forest, and so you'd like to call it luck when it's very clear Stone has an actual plan here. The idea that the man has lucked into us being the 2nd seed in the west just a few short years after we had to blow the whole team up is ludicrous. He's very good at his job. You're not good at his job. Might be time to accept that.
Gersson Rosas Former Rocket Front Office was fired because of a inappropriate relationship while he was married. After Rosas firing. Rosas was Drafting really well. No doubt he never would've traded for Rudy Gobert. Timberwolves trading away all their 1st Round Draft Picks for Rudy Gobert and his Huge Contract, trading away Karl Anthony Towns because the Contract
