One really cool thing that shows his growth is when in the clutch he was trapped three times in a row. First two times he made sure to get it to Alpi quick to make it look like he had no interest in attacking, and the third time he took it hard to the rim, blowing by JJJ and scoring the go-ahead basket (that could’ve been an And-1, in my opinion). Reading the game was not one of his strengths coming out of Ignite. Feels like he’s starting to figure a lot of stuff out at the same time—and this increased pace with FVV more off-ball has totally helped

I think he needs to get stronger and also watch harden/derozan videos to learn how to sell contact better (not flop) he should be getting to thr line atleat 2 or 3 times more in a game which would make him harder to guard and also increase scoring efficiency. 3 trips to the line could be anywhere from 3 to 6 extra points that would be huge
Today he attempted 18 shots and only 6 were from three. Because he was attacking...relentlessly, he also got to the line 11 times. If he ever plays like this consistently I will be eating delicious crow. His 3 ball will come and go, but getting to the rim and creating offense can be done on the regular. He just doesn't do it on the regular, instead he usually plays an extremely jump shot heavy offense. This guy who gets into the paint constantly can absolutely be a superstar.

I’m here to praise his defense … again. Did an excellent job when he had to guard Morant. My ding on Jalen is actually his ball handling. He struggles with ball pressure when he isn’t attacking and just probing. If he fixes this, which should be very fixable, there might be no significant holes in his game. Then it is just about consistency,
