You can hear a slight dissapointment in Tirico’s voice… I guess NBC was poised to get whichever game the Vikings were tied to, but Washington’s win locks the Vikings/Rams winner into Sunday 2pm (and he doesn’t get Lions-Vikings part deaux in his hometown). Alas, Texans were always going to get the 3:30 Saturday game.
2019 Texans headed to KC Vs 2024 Texans Headed to KC QB: Even, highs after WC miraculous plays Receivers: 2019, Hopkins and Fuller Defensive backs: 2024, by a mile Linebackers: 2024, by a mile lol rock boys Defensive line: 2024 by a mile Coaching: teapot didn't even know the downs Running backs: 2024 TEs : n/a O-line: 2019
Doesn't make sense, our game should be better than the Lions game. If Ravens vs Bills was on Saturday night thats cool but they've picked the Lions game? Meh
Chiefs on Saturday and ravens on Sunday was already pre-determined. Lions on Saturday was also pre-determined. then the networks do have an order of who gets what team, and then the second choice is the time slot for that day. they had to wait till after the Washington game since a Washington win was going to lock them to Detroit, but the network changed from NBC to Fox since NBC was apparently going to get lions-Vikings. Chiefs-Texans was already predicted to be abc 3:30 well before the Washington-bucs game started. And when these networks shell out the billions they do, they’re all expected to get “good” games and all get at least one prime time game for the playoffs.
Lions are America's exciting team and Daniels is the new chosen one hyped young QB. The Chiefs are a team everyone is bored of and no one cares or thinks the Texans are anything so it makes sense.
Whenever the Texans finally make it to the Super Bowl, the game will be played on a Saturday at 3:30pm.
The NFL and all the networks would love if the Texans had real sustained legit success… they’re the second biggest media market left in the playoffs. KC wasn’t featured much before the Mahomes era. Ditto Buffalo since the SB days. The Broncos were the media darlings during the Manning era. The coolest thing about the NFL is that it’s market independent once a team has real success (unlike the other leagues… and the nba is figuring this out the hard way as OKC and Cleveland lead their conferences).
Young, first year QB coming off an upset win in his first playoff game going against the #1 seed… you gotta make that the night game….. wait a sec..
