To be the best you need to beat the best. May as well exorcise some demons in the process.

Denver’s got good fight but don’t think they have enough firepower to keep up with the Bills and I feel like the Bills will pull away in the second half. Could see a 30-17 finish.

I don't want to play Baltimore.

Nothing pisses me off more than watching a scrambling QB like Lamar Jackson.

He'll have designed runs and/or extend drives on plays where you think you stopped them.

Not to mention dealing with Henry. Ravens are to the Texans what the Warriors were to the Rockets.

The Texans fate will be determined by which CJ Stroud shows up. If the good Stroud shows up, they can beat anyone except the Chiefs due to the league's rigging policy.

790 said the Chargers franchise entered this game with the worst postseason record of any team.

Some teams would have never won a title with this kind of Ric Flair bravado. If we eventually play the Ravens so be it. But first, need some holy water before any exorcism can take place.

I disagree. We have to be able to get a good rushing game going as well to compete with any of those teams. It's got to be Stroud and Mixon mixing it up, and plowing forward. Our offensive line will need to play like they've never played before. They have to not only give Stroud time, but make those gaps for Mixon to run through for big yards. That's especially true if we want to keep up with Baltimore or Buffalo offensively.

At one point, I think it was after Stingley’s interception, we were 2nd and 1 in the red zone and got sacked on a pass play. They cut too Mixon on the side line after the field goal and he is clearly yelling “run the f’ing ball.”

    Wait a game !!!

The outcome is one of the most unpredictable (positive) results in Houston sports history. This was Game 6 vs LAC and '95 vs Spurs level when you consider Houston not only won despite the predictions and odds, but it was blowout. There's no doubt yesterday might be top 5 in city history.

All three phases balled out. Mixon and Collins did the thing. The defense was suffocating and made another QB have their worst game of the season (i.e. Allen, Goff). Stingley showed his All-Pro selection was totally justified. The blocked XP returned for a 2 points, Fairbairn making every kick, stopping the Chargers rush.... this was an absolutely awesome game from your home team.

I wasn't expecting a win, but glad I was completely wrong.

Guess what.... I think we will lose next week too -- but will be ecstatic about being wrong again.

Texans looking for their first division round victory and first road playoff win in team history.

    Let's see.....

Can't blame Mixon for expressing himself.
Forgot another game where it happened, VS Chiefs. 3rd&1,midfield, they opt for a 13 yard wheel route.

We should all feel good about Houston stamping their arrival on any of these teams because we don’t have anything to lose.

A loose Houston Texan team is dangerous.

Going to the game is such a different experience than watching on TV. Oddly enough, I feel less anxiety when watching in person, but most of the time I prefer to watch on TV bc it's such a good viewing experience.

Howeva... being there yesterday was amazing. The crowd felt like it was collectively closing in on the Chargers offense as the defense starting taking over the game in the second half. The crazy fumble for the massive 30 yard first down brought everyone to life. People were just buzzing during the halftime break after the way the first half ended.

We were calling for a pick 6 all game, you could sense it coming. The defense was pretty close a few times. Just amazing.

A few thoughts on the game itself..

I thought the offense had a super underrated performance. Yes. It was dogshit for 20 mins of the first half. But they found something with spreading out the Chargers and getting the quick passing game going. They used the passing game to set up the run, which frankly should be the gameplan from the outset in every single game.

The refs. Yeah here we go. It felt like dogshit all day. Thanks for overturning the pick and the questionable intentional grounding no call, but otherwise it was really suspect. As usual, Texans seem to always, always have close first downs spotted just short. Every damn time, it's like we have a half yard handicap on spots. Rewatching the game on the TV broadcast, seems like they felt the same way.

The 86 yard McHonky touchdown was such a ****ing WTF moment. The walls were closing in. We were one stop away from being able to coast, and then THAT. But, the special teams play made it much less of a problem.

Speaking of special teams, they were ****ing awesome. Underrated awesome yesterday. The punt block in the first half that ended up not really working out, was executed to absolute perfection, just got unlucky. I hate this phrase, but I'll use it anyway, Frank Ross was in his bag.

The good thing about the defense blowing it on that McHonky touchdown, is it gave the offense an opportunity, that drive to close it out couldn't have been executed any better. Beautiful. Drove down the field. Ran when they knew we were gonna run. Destroyed the clock. Finished it off. Perfect.

Speaking of that drive, my favorite offensive play call in the entire game: QUARTERBACK ****ING SNEAK. YES. IT'S ACTUALLY POSSIBLE. THE TEXANS RAN THE BEST SHORT YARDAGE PLAY IN FOOTBALL. HALLELUJAH!!!!!! I'm completely serious though, I have a hard on for QB sneak. It's one of the best plays in football and really isn't that hard to execute, teams that don't run it are hamstringing themselves. That made me so happy.

How did Sting not score on that 1st pick? Dang it.

The Lassiter pick was super underrated as well, stemmed the momentum at a key moment where it was looking like things could get outta hand.

Best part about the Texans only being allowed to play Saturday 3:30 wild cards? When we win, the rest of the weekend is just glorious football binging. What a day it was yesterday at NRG. One of the best environments I've ever been in.

It was one of the best Texan games I’ve been to in person. Win helps obviously, but when we sat down we didn’t anticipate as hype of a crowd - getting over 100dbs several times. The glorious weather at the tailgate just had everyone in a good vibe. I didn’t even see a fight at the game! Lol

The end of the first half, feeling lucky AF to be up 4 at halftime, had everyone buzzing and energized for the second half. Defense started really dominating, everyone was smelling blood... it was so sick.
