Sarr is basically Christian Wood with sliders lower on offense and sliders higher on defense.

Bullard was part of one of our championship teams. He can do no wrong with me.

Oh, I agree, I loved Matt Bullard when he was here and when he was an announcer....but a Matt Bullard type player has a pretty low ceiling.

Yeah, I thought Sarr was more Serge Ibaka because he comes into the league with above average NBA defender skills (albeit hampered by his slight frame) and more primitive offensive game. Bosh always had a face up offensive game - he had to develop the defense…but I could see a world where Sarr’s shooting improves to where he is more of a Pascal Siakam type of player.

I oddly just wondered if Nate Hinton and players like him sees his NBA window is near closed, and would try to put himself in a better position. He's not on a 2 way contract like last year, he is a free agent. Or are G League teams actually serious about roster construction to "improve the team". Or do moves coming from the parent NBA clubs.

I'm guessing Nate Hinton wants to try out for Grizzlies and Rox just did him a favor.

I thought this might be a joke, but our GM really likes his guys. I don’t see Nix as an NBA player, but it’s not like Hinton was either. I’ll miss his hustle though.

Beat me to the same post. Even Steve Novak had a longer career than he should have.

    Haha forgot about Novak.

defense is so much weaker today, literally nobody plays defense. Novak would be Huerter.

I agree Alex leads with defense right now, some have compared his potential there to Marcus Camby. But I wouldn't compare him to Ibaka personally as Ibaka was much bigger, compact, at 6'10 230 lbs as a rookie, and had much of his game at the rim. He's still a work in progress, but Sarr is a far better shooter than Ibaka as a rookie, who shot a total of two threes his rookie year, making .500 :D

I may not have time, but you can check thier shot charts and shooting splits as rookies. Sarr is more versatile offensively IMO.

Bosh would be a case of era differences IMO. Big men facing up and midrange/long twos were much more acceptable back then. Bosh would likely be much more of a three-point shooter with less of that in his game in this era IMO. Sarr can actually put the ball on the floor, post up, PNR, PNP, and move in transition in his skill set, he's just not strong enough to pull it off against this level of competition yet and needs to refine those moves as any first-year player.

I would say he of course needs work, but I'd say Sarr has scoring ability but just doesn't have the body to pull off some of his bag against NBA players at his age and weight right now. Here is a look at his skill set at 18 years old and 190 lbs in the Australian pro league. As he gets stronger, he can become more of a focal point, better in isolation, and create his own offense through the years.

If Silas was the Vipers coach, Nix would start over Sheppard. :D

So what you're saying is a damn near 50% shooting average over a 30 day period isn't enough of a sample for you? You're worse off than I thought!!

I think he will be exactly that. The early emergence of a 3pt shot is indicative of what type of player he will be. Once he gets stronger he will be a perfect modern big man.

We will see he is only 19. However he also has played in teams that havent held him accountable, if you look at JG for example he had to adjust a lot last year under Udoka. Wizards are so dysfunctional even Kuzma wants out. I think je may end up with bad fundamentals and never turn into a good player.

The continuous jacking up of shots in preseason and summer league wasnt a good sign imo.
