Real fans support their own players ESPECIALLY when they are injured.

Yes, so fast your head would spin.

And I love Tari, but his injury status, makes me think this is a chronic issue and getting another Amen level athlete on this team....whooo boy.

We just have to hope Tari actually recovers.......I mean having a tumor shaved off your bone, weakens the bone, then getting a rod inserted can cause irritation, until they remove the rod, maybe they need to remove it and let him just heal naturally?

Mrs Subtomic has theorized that he’s developed scar tissue around the rod and that’s the source of his pain.

Mr Subtomic barely passed biology and thus abstains from any conjecture.

Of course. He's on the sidelines getting bumped into by that malcontent that we should trade/cut/waive named Whitmore. Or that's what I keep reading.

Same as with Jabari's early season slump I'm ok with this, lowers his value for a contract extension.

Ask her what that means does he have to break it down naturally? or surgically?

Reminds me of the TMac saga where no one knew what was going on, we weren’t getting updates, and then TMac got season ending surgery without telling front office, potentially costing us Vince Carter and a championship.

From someone who had a rod in his tibia - you don't feel the rod. The scar tissue would be up near the knee because that's where they put the rod in. I have the scars to prove that that is extremely unlikely to be the issue.

    WTF.

I'd rather guys all be worth the max such that we have to trade some than get hurt to reduce their value.

I'm not happy with it, but if the team can come to a mutually beneficial contract extension that secures Tari's financial future and doesn't overburden our cap situation, that could be a good idea for both parties. Something like $45M over three maybe?

Of course you'd rather they are healthy but he isn't so I'm ok with that.

Kind of hard to say without knowing the true nature of his injury. Hopefully the organization knows more than we do. I definitely think he could be worth that money if his health report is only mildly concerning, but if it's more serious and might be a recurring issue that messes up his career long-term, I'd definitely be worried about committing to too long-term of a deal.

15m a year for an often injured bench player sounds fair

Not with the cap increasing by 10% every year. 15M would be like Unc Green money today in a couple of years.

Anyway I will let Stone handle he has the leverage.

No one misses a month for soreness. He's injured.

    Instantly.

What's wrong with the guy? Soreness isn't an injury.
