Yeah this is either immature frustration or a tactic to force a trade so he can get more playing time. Who knows who’s in his ear, but the comments and body language have been straight bad for a while now. I don’t believe in giving into malcontents, but if word gets out that he’s clashing with teammates and if he keeps making dumb public comments that will tank his value. I think u just play hardball. If the relationship with the rockets is going to go bad there’s not much we can do about that. But you try to work things out and you definitely don’t trade him until you feel you are getting a good return. Cam can be an all star if he keeps his head on straight. But only the org knows how close this is to becoming a truly untenable situation. I don’t think we are there yet. But now everything Cam does is gonna be scrutinized and it’s gonna get harder for him.
Might be Cam was upset that Ime put Alpi back in cause FVV was jacking shots and losing the lead - cause I thought Alpi and Jalen night was done but they came back in at 100-116
Cam played 18 minutes, scored 17 point on 3-3 from 3 ... but only had a +/- of 2+. I will tolerate that line score.
Dude is Atlantans but does he think forcing a trade will make his situation better. Whatever situation he hope he can he ttraeee too , he’s not going to be the starter. Hes not even goi to be the first man off the bench . Not on a team that’s contending. He’ll be just like he is. Ke. 20 minutes off the bench ona contender. Mel if he gets traded to an and team, he’ll probably be able to have an increased role. Could be his agent in his ear. By the time it’s time to pay Cam, we won’t have money. He’s like at best 4th on the priority list but make likely last of our core seven. So if that’s the car for his perspective then I understand his frustration. He’s reading the lines drawn out and being realistic. He needs to have a sit down with Rafael and express his aspiration verbally about wanting to change his situation to a new team. I’m Pretty sure the rockets can find a trade that works out for them with his potential.
MJ and Hakeem both had some problems with anger and teammates when they were younger. Media scrutiny has intensified greatly since then. Give the kid a break, unless he starts throwing sh*t or beating up women. Jabari has had words with Sengun and with Jalen. These things should be worked out internally, not in the media. If he continues to act out with his teammates, I'm sure Stone and Ime will jettison him. Stone, in particular, doesn't want another KPJ stain on his resume.
It's concerning to see especially since he is now a consistent part of the rotation and playing well (and the team is winning). I trust Ime to handle it though. I'm not in a hurry to ship him out... yet.
We're missing 2 pieces to be TRUE CONTENDERS: A Closer An Athletic Rim Protector We can get KD for cheap this year if the Suns keep losing (their draft picks are becoming more valuable) We have the leverage with the Suns to make a trade without giving away any of our core players....by the way, Reed Shepherd dropping 49 points just increased his trade value as well!
Cam's been surly since we first drafted him. Who knows what's going on in his life these days? Regardless, the team is playing well, so he's obviously not a major distraction. Nothing to worry about yet. Monitor the situation and keep winning games.
i think this clip is being overblown, Cam may have been frustrated, but I think Tari's personality is similar to Josh Hart they don't take anything too seriously. You really need two immature and sensitive guys to really have an issue on a team, as of now there is only one I hope.
Amen. Just people re-tweeting stuff they have no idea whether it's true or not. I watched during the game and Cam was cool on the bench, getting up and cheering for guys that were in the game as they came off the court. I also saw him cheering for teammates, getting off the bench to congratulate them, and even in the 3rd, clapping for a Green make (while Tari didn't do anything - my GOD, Tari must hate Jalen! QUICK! TO THE TWEETER!). At the very end he seemed to be a bit aloof on the bench, but maybe it's because the lead was around 20 at the time I looked. At the very end, he did bump Tari a bit like he just wanted to get off the court, but slapped hands with 2 others on the way to Tari, so he didn't seem too pissed at anybody, I guess. Anybody got a clip of the supposed Jalen bump? Anybody able to read lips? lol. I'm not about to form an opinion based upon a tweet that tells me what was said or happened when I don't know if that's what was said or happened. I will say that going back to his first games with the Vipers last year, there's something different about Cam on the court. He has moments where he seems to check out. It may happen on the bench, too. In any case, I'll just chill, watch, wait, and see.
He's starting to get back to last years version of him that we all loved. Remember he is only 20 years old.
