Tell that to Rafael or Felicia since the report came out that the Rockets ARE OPENED to trading Tate THIS season. All I'm telling you is sending Tate to a great situation in Dallas where he would have contributed last year would have been a nice gesture for someone who has earned it instead of rotting at the end of the bench.
Great to see Tate getting some run last night. He reminded folks how versatile he is as a player. He can pass, rebound, defend, post guys up, he can handle the ball and he cuts without the basketball…he’s a rotation player on several nba teams. The way this roster is configured, his strengths are duplicative of Dillon, Tari and Amen, and his biggest weakness is the shooting, which is the team’s biggest weakness. with Tari out last year, Tate was actually getting minutes, but given that he’s out of the rotation this year, I’m sure he’s asked for a trade. I will always love Jae’ but think going to another team is best for his career. I’d trade him to an eastern conference team where he’s more likely to play. I’m definitely not trying to hear the Dallas trade talk. We can definitely get a decent 2nd rounder for him from a team that isn’t freaking Dallas.
The Dallas trade reports happened last year. That ship has sailed. Bucks and Cavs with injuries would be a place where he could help out and he went to thee Ohio St.
It was a great decision to hang on to Tate and re-sign Holiday. They have both been outstanding this season...
Tate is absolutely killing it. He should be the Rockets U Haslem sign the man to a lifetime contract.
As someone else said, Tate is the real franchise player, we have been secretly building around him from the very beginning.
