Udoka laughing his ass off at Jenkins right now snickering "doesn't he know he can just blame his players for everything, all of the time?"

Nice bounce pass from Amen to Goon on that play in heavy traffic.

People are so quick to hand the team to this person and that person, but without Fred the Rockets are a high turnover team.

In crunch time, it doesn't matter how many points Alpi scores beforehand because the on court vibe is completely different. When defenses ratchet up the pressure and contest everything, he does not adapt and has trouble with ball security and decision-making.

Udoka is giving Jalen and Alpi the opportunity to develop a two-man closing game and I don't blame him for trying. The purpose is to avoid a TO and make sure one of your two most gifted scorers gets off a shot. Tonight it was a complete failure and both guys were at fault.

This was playoff preparation. Maybe it's time to go back to the drawing board.

It’s not the first time. When the pressure increases both Sengun and Jalen turn the ball over. That’s why their 4th quarters have been ugly and will continue to be until they get a closer or someone develops into one.

I disagree with the bolded part - at least in the sense it can't be a blanket statement because Sengun has proven it's not true all of the time.

There's been numerous times down the stretch of games (Jalen's 40 point night this season is one of them) where they said forget everyone else on the team and went to Sengun every single possession and he put them on his back and went to work and all the defensive pressure and contesting everything didn't stop him. He had a rhythm and was comfortable and wasn't second guessing himself.

Not getting him the ball in these positions for 6 minutes straight and then dumping it to him expecting him to go to work is what I feel contributes to those turnovers late because all he's done for 6 minutes is run around the perimeter or try to get offensive rebounds. (and then having multiple players immediately turn and yell at him when he makes a mistake I feel also contributes to it because he's almost focusing too much on that and not playing freely - again why I personally think the above point is important)

I do agree though that they need to go back to the drawing board. I wish Udoka would look in the mirror though and realise he needs to be a hell of a lot better in certain aspects.

Those 4 or 5 consecutive possessions where we tried to force it to Sengun were terrible

Big shot by FVV and big win

2nd youngest team in the NBA when adjusting for usage rate only behind the Wizards. It's okay.

Didn't Alpi win an overtime game single handedly several weeks back...?

I'm not saying Alpi and Jalen fail 100% of the time. I don't think even their biggest haters would argue that. But tonight was disgraceful and it's happened before.

It was good the Grizzlies played offense at the end like they didn't want to win.

EDIT: Especially good that Taylor Jenkins called that timeout.

If you put up 32/14/5 on 60% shooting you can b**** and whine all you want.

If you put up 3/14 with 21% FG and 33% from 3 you better shut your ass up..

Body language is secondary to your production on the court, thats why Sengun gets star treatment and Cam does not.
