I call it the Drexler and Jordan symptom. Always believed that's why they were never good three pt shooters, jumping a mile to shoot the shot.
Some pros researched it and said it was inconclusive but I still believe.
Jalen did look more balanced also, like he was drifting on those shots.

    Amen is stronger and longer...

I haven't seen Amen do the Kyrie style lay up package that Green often does. He gets a lot of finishes doing extra creative things like awkward high off the backboard lay up attempts.

I would definitely not say he's quicker or has better finishing package.

Edit: just wanted to add that Amen definitely can close the gap on the deficiencies that make Green a better offensive player. I don't want to sound like it's impossible for Amen to never clear Green offensively.

sorry, i meant to say amen is quicker on his 2nd jump not quicker in speed. jalen needs a lot of runway space to jump compare to amen. and when jalen gets the clear runway space, boy does it get crazy lol

I mean I think that's just a product of Amen being in positions where you need second jumps like tip ins and rebounding which Amen is asked to do more than Green.

Green doesn't use his second jump that often because he isn't doing things that asked for second jumps that often. You see how explosive his stand still jump in occasions like him shuffling his feet side by side to stay in front of a ball handler and then all of a sudden leaping for a block at the rim like what he did to Tatum. That is equivalent of a stand still jump because shuffling your feet side to side to stay in front of a defender doesn't give you the proper footwork to launch yourself as if you are doing a optimal running jump to get optimal height. You aren't loading up to jump when shuffling laterally to stay side by side with the ball handler. And then there is the rare occasions where he is trying to get a defensive rebound against bigger players and sometimes skies in the air for them.

    I don't necessarily disagree

But also Amen is CREATING some of those looks even if he is on the finishing end due to his athleticism.

Some of those catches from the dunker spot , I do not believe green could handle and then convert. Not enough strength and amens length helps too

And I'm not sure I would arbitrarily be removing the catch and shoot attempts .

What are we trying to get this this thing boiled down to ?

Anyways I think my first part about Amen "creating" some of his finishes stands .

The debate is who is a better finisher. Just to summarize the data. Green is 73% from 0-3 ft, Amen is 78% front hat same spot. 5% of Green's shot attempts are 0 dribble 2 pt attempts. 34% of Amen's shot attempts are 0 dribble 2 pt attempts.

The entire point of bringing up those numbers is just me pointing out that a SIGNIFICANTLY larger portion of Amen's paint scoring comes from tip ins and dunker spot attempts while a significantly larger portion of Green's attempts at the rim are off the dribble.

I agree that Amen's length and strength make him better suited to get offensive rebounds and score from the dunker spot

Let’s take down the Grizzlies for a better, goofy looking bear. Do it for Clutch.

What type of bear is Clutch The Bear? Why do the Rockets have a bear for a mascot?

Why did the Astros have an armadillo and rabbit as a mascot? And a “Chester Charge”?

    Before Turbo, there was ‘Booster’

Can we bring back the Dunkstronaut?

    Sorry, I digress.

Clutch mentioned lot of the Rockets marketing branding stuff are done over a year in advance. Think they didn't predict the Dunkstronaut was going to be so popular. Am guessing they'll bring him back next season.

Speaking of which, I got a pair of these, this past December.
