Has anybody played this game? I just saw an ad for it in my new FHM issue that says it is on PC, PS2, XBOX. You play a guy named Larry who's in college and has to play games like quarters with women around campus and complete other tasks. Looks like a fun game that could provide some good laughs. I found a review for the game online here. I did some looking up online and found that it's actually a series of games, with the title character in each one. Has anybody played any of the games in the series? If so, is it a good play?
Why don't you just go play quarters with real women around campus? Only joking. I used to play Leisure Suit Larry games about 10+ years ago and they were pretty fun. Some other classics were Kings Quest and Police Quest.
I remember the original PC game... pretty funny stuff. I played forever and finally got Larry to hook up with a chick. So while they're "doin' it", the game fuzzies out the exposed areas...I was pissed. Give Larry his props. Well, I forgot to drive across town to the drug store and buy some prophylactics...so right after Larry finishes the job, his midsection starts pulsating and buzzing. Of course Larry eventually died from his infliction...what a game. Nothin' like playing adult games when you're a teenager. Go Larry...tap that azz.
Ahhhh, the Leisure Suit Larry series. A source of pixilated nudity for young boys for many a year now.
Only problem with that is I have a girlfriend that would rip off my nuts and stomp on them while laughing if I did such a thing.
I saw the chicks in Playboy...Freakin hilarious thier notes... Like "I like threesomes", etc. great stuff...
Chicks too! Me and one of my best friends at the time would play it every day after school, when her older sister was supposed to be looking after us, but was usually upstairs talking on the phone.
Police Quest was the stuff. I remember having to chase that long-hair around in my car, and then diving in the lake to recover a vial of blood to bring back to the lab.
I remember that one. When you go to buy condoms, the store clerk asks you a bunch of questions -- what color? studded? ribbed? flavored? etc. -- then he does a price-check or something on the intercom describing the kind of condoms you requested to embarass the hell out of you. Funny stuff. I have to say the Quest games, and especially Leisure Suit Larry were better when they were text-command based than when they came out with the icon/point-and-click format.
man, I remember playing one of the older ones. Funny stuff. I used to play Monkey Island series, that were played in the same manner. (not that the game was about getting laid, but the layout was the same).
I LOVE Monkey Island. If you happen to have a Mac with classic OS on it, go to the Macintosh Garden (for abandoned software) and download the original Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2... for FREE! (The site seems to be down right now, though).
I don't remember the name of it, but I played one (and still have somewhere) that has him going on a cruise. You have to win all of these events by cheating so that you can spend a night with the "captain" (yes it's a female). There is some funny stuff in there, and while your playing you have to keep an eye out for hidden dildo's! That is an awesome game, probably one of my 2 or 3 favorites all time on the computer. I know I beat it once, and every time I've played it after that I got stuck. I'd highly reccomend this game to anyone, well anyone over 18. Ahh, Love for Sail....I'd suggest bidding on it http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=80329&item=5130807604&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW Pugs
The best part was when you went undercover for the drug bust. Another fun part was when you pulled over the hot chick. I don't remember exactly how it went, but I know I kept trying to ask her to have sex with me and I lost the game. Police Quest was the shiznit.
Some girls on campus were passing out demos of this game last week. They gave me 2 demos and a fistful of condoms
Yeah, I love the series too. The Curse of Monkey Island was my favorite. Damn hilarious and fun to play.
Basically anything Sierra made before they sold out and went 3D is gold. Adventure gaming is so dead but I still play through a King's Quest every once in a while. The Kyrandia series by Westwood was pretty good too. Psychotic evil court jesters were all the rage back in '91.
I remember trying to play one of the Police Quests one time (I think 3 or 4) and I got stuck at the very beginning for like 4 or 5 hours. I couldn't get past this one reporter chick...or maybe she was a lawyer. At any rate, the answer to the puzzle was apparently to pinch her ass so she would hop out of the way. I quit playing after that. The comic value of the solution didn't quite outweigh the frustration I experienced in finding the solution.
