I need to know which YMCA you go to with that level of talent, so I can play there myself and get my ass whooped. The Elmhurst Y where I played at growing up was filled with angry 26 year olds who were “a knee injury away from division 1”
You may be right. I thought there were 2 50-point games this season, but maybe not. I think former Rocket legends Daishen Nix and TyTy Washington both put up 40+ point games, so he's in great company.
LOL, so a bit of exaggeration, but essentially any player that should be even a bench player at the NBA level can absolutely destroy the G league. It's still a professional league, but it's not even NCAA quality. It's filled with angry 26 year olds who would likely lose a one on one to current day Brian Scalabrine.
The problem is the roles are different. Reed in the Gleague is the PG, the primary facilitator in the NBA he is a 10mpg off the ball bench shooter. DD
I’m 100% in agreement with this, which is why I think the G-league ignite program essentially failed. It also makes it pretty obvious which players will be a total bust when they play poorly in the G-league—Johnny Davis being probably the most prominent example Addendum: By failure I mean that the Ignite program didn’t properly prepare its players for the NBA level, leading to slower starts than expected for literally all of its prospects.
I don't think that's true, you don't think a top g league team would smash any college team? College teams are almost all COMPLETE trash with 0-1 even g league level players.
And if I was black you'd tell me to stop eating fried chicken and watermelon amirite? Why dont you stop being racist over an NBa player ever thought of that? Brickpard doesnt know you.
College is MUCH more organized, G League is like AAU ball for guys not good enough for the NBA who also weren't good enough to go play in China or Europe....who also weren't good enough in school to get a real job after their college career ended.
I gotta say all things considered I did NOT see this performance coming. I’ve never labeled him a bust but I must be honest my confidence in him was shaken when he was sent down. This was a great thing for Reed and I hope he can build on it along with building his confidence. He’s gotta keep shooting.
Ya but a g league team would have like 10 of the top 11 players and way way way way way better coaches, even if they're not getting the practice time of a college team.
I hope coach is on the phone trying to get Reed back on the big roster and gives him some legit consistent playing time. Coach looks really bad at the moment. Basic development practices would allow Reed to get better and play more minutes. Keeping the team fresh and healthy.
