lol. I’ll be watching vipers games over Rockets this week. I don’t want him to fail, I’m saying if he does fail there….. fail is scoring under 20. tyty Washington puts up like 50 in the g league.
I just hope he can do well in the G League. I joined the hordes and got excited about him after the first 2 or 3 G League Games, but was for Dilingham if we wanted a basket getter as I was (and still am) worried Reed could not get his shots to fall with NBA defenders. Worried, but rooting for him in the G League.
There is no reason for him to be down there other than coach is a stubborn a hole. There is an issue when the aged veteran point guard is playing 40 minutes a game in the first half of the season to the point where his shot is failing because his legs are fatigued. Nowhere positive to go from here to end the season. IF FVV makes to the playoffs what will be left of him? (Overused = injury) Coach is lazy or stupid for not developing Reed and pacing Fred for the whole season. At this rate Reed maybe starting by season’s end. With g-league experience vs real playing time.
Coache’s job is to win games and if that means playing FVV 40 mins per game then that is what must be done. Tired of the FVV whiners on this board….he does so much other than just being a good shooter that’s not appreciated or understood. The team basically collapses when he’s not out there and to stick the underdeveloped and struggling Reed out there is a recipe for failure. Holiday is beginning to get more minutes so give it some time. FVV can handle and gets paid handsomely for all the minutes he plays.
Agree on the launching. Paint defense in g-league is not very good. Lot of g-league guards get good stats from layups and dunks. A Reed 30 burger down there matter less if a good chunk of it are not jump shots.
I agree that Fred plays too many minutes but Reed clearly wasn't the answer. If Reed played more minutes the Rockets would be a lot lower in the standings. At this stage the Rockets are trying to win games. The G-league was built for development and that is where Reed should be.
does not surprise me. Josh is an nba player. We should never have had to compensate a team for taking him on.
Hopefully he’s still with the Vipers on the 17th. They play up in Austin that day and will make the drive.
