    Easily the MVP this season.

It's amazing that Presti got this guy + 7 draft picks (2 were unprotected swaps) lol. Clippers got one good season out of Kawhi and PG13 and they have been pretty much screwed ever since then.

Jokic should win the MVP every year for the next decade. There are no better players than him (it's not close). But yes, there are plenty of teams that surround their stars with better supporting casts.

But if SGA wins the MVP I won't be annoyed like I was with Embiid, who really didn't deserve to win it over Jokic. Only got it cause of voter fatigue and Perkins guilt tripping the voters using the race card.

Joker will win it for a couple times but the leagues has to find new MVPs......the Nuggets are just not the team for him.

I know a lot of people here hate OKC, but J-Dub and SGA are both among my favorite players in the NBA.

J-Dub's dry reaction here is funny.

I know you're kinda trolling, but were statistics that were created before Jokic entered the league specially concocted just to make him look good and feed the "Jokic agenda" once he arrived? LOL. For example, he's leading the league, again, in PER, with SGA basically tied behind him with Giannis. He's also ahead of those guys in TS %. I don't pretend that makes it an open and shut case -- no way -- but it makes him not "laughable" by any stretch.

Jokic is a great player. SGA is a great player. They're near the top of any serious person's rankings for "most valuable." Probably one without a clear answer.

Would have no problem at all if SGA wins the MVP this year. None.

SGA is averaging 31, 6, and 6 with elite defense on the best team in the NBA that has been without their 2nd best player, and we’re sitting here talking about Jokic, the dude whose team is 9.5 games back in the standings and just a half game out the play-in

    the answer is pretty clear

the Jokic agenda is Serbian government interference

I don't understand your dislike for the agenda for Jokic. He's a damn good player that deserves consideration carrying that trash team. It's not his fault that management has let go of good role players (Bruce Brown, KCP). It's also not his fault that MPJ will never be more than a solid role player getting paid (at least when he got the initial contract) like a star. Also not his fault that Jamal Murray is not as good as he was in the bubble.

I love SGA and he definitely deserves the MVP as well, but talking down on Jokic is laughable, he's also an MVP worthy candidate this season. That Nuggets team would be absolute trash without him. He's no different than what Harden was doing year after year (except he's actually been awarded with the MVP multiple times, instead of robbed liked Harden).

half game out the play-in and we’re acting like it’s a discussion versus a dude putting up Shai’s numbers on a 30-5 team missing their 2nd best player that’s currently on a 15 game win streak

Yeah, I'm sympathetic to a team's overall success influencing MVP. It really should influence the award.
And also SGA is a great two-way player.

I have no problem with SGA being the MVP.

But saying having Jokic in the MVP conversation as "laughable" is itself laughable. People really like to use absolutes as if they know all the secrets of the universe. Not to mention the season is less than half over. Anything can happen.

I wonder if his Free Throws will go UP or DOWN in the playoffs
More and More the NBA Championship comes down to which team has the better narrative
or most useful in "promoting the game"

Robbery of the century. SGA alone turned out better than Kawhi and Podcast P combined.

Personally I think Jokic is the far and away the best player in the NBA.

However the MVP should be SGA assuming OKC holds onto the first seed because the precedent has been set the best guy of the best team should get the MVP (aka Curry rule) unless there are other circumstances like voter fatigue or Mr Triple Double etc.

Exception being the year Russ averaged a triple double. If Jokic can get his assist average by 0.3 apg, give the man MVP based on previous precedent.

I'm joking of course. I wouldn't be mad at Jokic winning, but it better not be for something silly like that. If the Nuggets pick it up this year, I can see Jokic being a solid case, but SGA is currently the most deserving individual.

For me SGA is a slightly lesser Jokic in guard form but the MVP has to go to a new player.

You cannot give it to the same player 4 times in a row ....maybe you can but that is monopoly.

Joker has probably the stats but SGA is the better clutch player by far.

They were really good last year so it was just continuity and couple reinforcements.
