It wasn't that bad, and this lady is probably talking out her backside.

That being said January 6th is a very important date, and likely will be highly symbolic as the start of the end of Democracy in the US, and the start of a corrupt oligarchic autocratic form of government moving forward.

I hope it's not and MAGA autocratic supporters like yourself don't get the government you obviously want. However it's highly likely that we'll never truly be able to reverse course, and yes January 6th will be a hugely symbolic sign of victory for the pro fascistic right wing rule we are possibly headed toward.

Again... hope to be wrong, and January 6th is just a blip, but if you get what you want it certainly will be of huge symbolic importance.

I didn't say "forget about it". I didn't say "sweep it under the rug." We should learn from it... and move on. You guys just keep posting about... and posting about it.. and posting about... years and years later.... because you hate Trump. Get over it. I hated Biden (mostly). He's history. I'm moving on. So should you. Old man yells at cloud.

It was four years ago. Move on.

Every time I see somebody say it was FBI entrapment, or people were invited in, or it was simple civil disobedience, or that J6 rioters are patriots or persecuted, or Pence is a scumbag for unspecified reasons, or that LEO used too much force, or that it was Pelosi's fault there wasn't more security, or that Trump didn't tell the crowd to riot, or that the 2020 election really was stolen, or any of the other myriad ways in which people try to recast what happened on Jan 6, I'm going to have to post in this thread. Which is a bigger workload than I can manage. Influencers and wannabe influencers are constantly propagandizing us to forget about Trump trying to overthrow the government. And you're doing your part by telling people who insist on repeating the truth to shut up and make space for the people telling lies. I can't move on because MAGA can't rest until they have sanitized this piece of history. When MAGA can say, 'we did this and it was wrong,' then I can move on.

It's okay to let go. Don't let the hatred consume you.

Easiest way to move on is for Trump, MGT, and other MAGA move on and admit it was a horrible crime. If they would stop calling these people patriots and talking about pardoning them.

Are you holding your breath for that to happen? Do you think that's going to happen?

trump and his cult wont allow us to "move on". they are trying to rewrite history and claim that we didnt see what we all saw. trump is vowing to pardon the insurrectionists on his first day in office. the president lied about losing an election then incited an insurrection to try and prevent the transfer of power. that should definitely NOT be something we "move on" from...he should be spending the rest of his life in prison for that, but instead he got re-elected president.

if you dont like us discussing it then you are free to "move on". nobody is forcing you to read this thread or post. youre just coming off like a baby right now.

No. Yet you were the one asking for people to move on. I mentioned who specifically needed to move on, and that would fix the problem. Ignoring the criminal activity isn't going to make it go away.

I didn't say you specifically. You can make your own assumptions why people still post about it, or still talk about it, but that doesn't make them facts. You are in a discussion forum about Jan 6th. If you don't want to read about it or talk about it then why can me into a forum where it is discussed?

Some people post or talk about it constantly because those insurrectionists, thugs, Patriots, domestic terrorists, loving people, or whatever adjective people have used about them continues to be brought up by both sides of the political spectrum.

It's been talked about since the day it happened by both sides of the political spectrum. It was talked about by Trump and Harris at rallies this year. It's talked about when politicians discuss the Democratic process, voting, elections, and the passing of the torch. It's talked about when anniversary dates come up, just like any significant time in history. It's talked about because it was something Americans never witnessed in their lifetime, and they will never forget it. It's talked about when trials, pardons, and arrests are made. It's talked about by news outlets, social media folks, radio hosts, and people on forums like this. It's talked about by police who will never forget the pain they endured. It's talked about by extremist groups, and by other people who were there. It's talked about by people who love Trump, despise Trump, right wingers, left wingers, and people who don't even live in this country. It's talked about by historians, reporters, journalists, and others around the world.

You do you. If you want to just get over it and move on, or if you don't want to think about what happened 4 years ago, that's your choice. That doesn't mean everyone else should, as you say. Everyone can forget or remember what they want to, and whether you call it an old man yelling at clouds to those who don't share your opinion is simply your viewpoint.

Agree, let the January 6 insurrectionists rot in jail where they belong - who's with me?

you should pity yourself. youre upset that people are discussing a political issue in the political section of a basketball message board. its very odd.

you want to whitewash what happened on january 6th and "move on" then go right ahead. nobody is stopping you.
