Yes as I mentioned. People confuse it with how well a player shoots. That’s EFG%.

What if Durant says "give me Butler for Booker or else I'm asking out of here?" I totally agree about why this doesn't make sense from Phoenix's perspective but maybe we are forgetting that this is a particularly top heavy team and sometimes players who shouldn't be calling the shots get larger influence on their teams when they have them over a barrel. If anyone were to pull those shenanigans, it would be Durant.

...I'm sure I don't have to remind you about the CP3/Westbrook trade that Harden pushed for that we are still feeling the effects of.

Pretty sure Phoenix would trade Durant in that scenario.

You should ban yourself from watching basketball. Waste of electricity and time for you

That would be amazing drama - hoping that is what happens.

It almost feels like it all lead to this - Durant and Butler have probably caused the most team drama of any two players over the last decade. To trade them for each other would be the final piece for the two most likely to think they are the team.

Can we get in and snatch Maxey in a 3-way? Philly might as well go all in on geezers :D

Harden, Kyrie both have caused more drama than KD.

Would be near very difficult to S&T Butler or any player for that matter.

In the new CBA the team receiving the player is hard capped at the apron

The team sending that player out is also hard capped at the second apron "If they take back any salary" for the outgoing player.

So unless you are sending him to a team with cap space. staying below the 2nd apron would be difficult considering they are just $17.5m under currently with only 11 players under contract,

Like I said, makes no sense from Phoenix's point of view but I depending on where Durant's head is at on their team's current struggles, I don't think it makes zero sense for the guy who feels this year's title chances slipping out of his hands and could conceivably push for a trade that isn't in the team's best interest.

The problem for Phoenix is there are fewer and fewer trade options that will work for them because they are limited in what they can do in the new CBA as a luxury tax repeater - they are way past having flexible trade options. In other words, if the team agrees with a hypothetical Durant request that some change needs to be made, there are very few options they have to make a change.

The Suns are not trading 28 y/o Booker for 35 y/o Butler to appease 36 y/o KD

mismanagement of an asset to that degree would prompt an investigation by the DOJ

I'm to the point I would rather have Durant than Booker. Less assets to get. Fits better. 2 year vs 4 at less cost. Don't really want either.

One thing is for sure: Jimmy Butler is being traded. I don’t think Jimmy makes any sense for the rockets, but I hope we are trying to get involved to somehow benefit the team. Like maybe getting some value for Tate or other expirings like Jeff Green. At this point I would not include Holiday or Adams in a marginal deal because we actually need them.

I hope the Suns get stuck with Beal, & continue suffering with their faux super team.
