China has a huge influence in Canada. BC is a huge international hub with a very large chinese population

 

Try learning a little bit about Canada and what is happening up there.

 

I did some numbers trawling. The Asian demo is one fifth of canada (2021), and one fifth of all asians are of Chinese descent at 1.7 million.

A third of that, around 650,000 are immigrants and not naturalized. Simple search claims 300k chinese have been naturalized over the last 2 decades. That totals around 1M "commies" roaming around Canada.

Point being is that many of the existing chinese came from Hong Kong or taiwan to either escape communism or oppression and also for a better life as Canadians. Many of the new chinese who are wealthy come with a different approach. Tensions between the two communities were sidelined during covid 19 when anti asian sentiment spiked, but they're not homogeneous or necessarily mingle around the same circles.

The more impactful issue is that money talks and can silence others.

Besides china dumping or trafficking money mostly unobstructed since the GFC, many other countries through soverign wealth funds or asset managers have been doing similar things to Canada's real estate and asset markets. It's just that Chinese investors are more flagrant with parking money in real estate and letting that property go to **** and unoccupied, plus that whole money laundering with casinos thing...

 

Trudeau is going to resign in disgrace in the next few days.
