Another tough schedule. No easy victories besides maybe Raiders. NFC West has depth none of those teams are truly bottom feeders. Gonna be another tough one but as is the case in the NFL, don't have to be better than anybody besides the other 3 teams in your division. Colts should be rebuilding, Titans are a joke, perhaps the Jags figure something out.

All the games used to be here. From 2015-2017 we played 4 straight games in Houston (including a playoff game). Then (including 2025) 5 of the 6 meetings were (are) in KC.

I don't know how they choose the home/away teams for some of these games. But it does seem odd to play the Bills back to back in Houston and the Chiefs back to back in KC.

This is a completely fair take. For the sake of argument, Steelers have better skill players than the chargers and while the chargers defense is great, Steelers defense has the pedigree and finds ways to stop even the top offenses. Like most playoff matchups, there are pros and cons each way.

I know this is all in hindsight, but I hate that we let Greenard and Cashman go. I know Hunter is a great DE, and I have nothing but respect for him but I still think if we had just signed Greenard and Cashman for what the Vikings paid them we would have gotten more for the money.

    Greenard 19 million by Vikings
    59 combined tackles 41 solo 12 sacks 4 FF

    Cashman 7.5 million
    112 combined tackles 68 solo 4.5 sacks 1 FR

    Greenard and Cashman 26.5 million

    Hunter 24.5 million
    46 combined tackles 31 solo 12 sacks 1 FF

takes two to tango and IIRC both of those guys signed early in free agency with MN

Also, IIRC Cashman had trouble staying healthy everywhere he went

    But I hear you

TE Jonnu Smith, RB Derrick Henry, S Justin Simmons, T George Fant or Josh Jones, IDL Javon Kinlaw, CB Shaquil Griffin, S Jonathan Biles-Owens, IOL Evan Brown would have been good additions (keeps) as well

Greenard is also 3 years younger.

This thought also crossed my mind watching Sunday Night Football. I'm with you. I have nothing bad to say about Hunter, but Greenard had similar (better) production and costs less.

I think Greenard wanted a longer contract than we wanted to give. We signed Hunter for 2 years while Greenard got a 4 year deal in Minny.

Cautiously optimistic. Demeco is way better on D than Greg Roman is on O. If Bobby can get back to his good 1st half game plan level, I think we have an advantage.

Please don't @ me when "dammit Bobby" is the most said phrase in the game thread. I'm fully aware this is a fools hope.

They got Cashman cheaper than we got Autrey too, and Cashman was far the better this year.

I was watching the game last night and thought the same thing, I LOVE Hunter but if we could have kept both I think it would be better depth.........but, coulda, woulda, shoulda.

I think the only Shanny-centric type offense the Chargers saw this year was Arizona and they lost that game. Not that its a good or bad thing, but if we can try to use tendency to our advantage in how they will try to copycat other DCs who have found success vs this offense we may be able to hit them with new wrinkles and give ourselves a better chance to win.

While I agree with you, betting on Slowik to add wrinkles is laughable.

It’s so crazy how a year can change so much. Last year going into the playoffs I had all the confidence in the world in our Offense and Stroud. This year I’m fulling expecting to lose.

Next year they are going to have a lot to prove.
