Ya butler has shot pretty well the last 3 seasons, better % than brooks. Brooks has durability also, butler doesn't play very often.

I mean... that's not a fair description of their shooting, Brooks deserves more props since this can only be done with hard work. In the 3 seasons intentionally selected to favor Jimmy, he has a slightly higher % on a much smaller volume (about 1/3rd the volume). That means overall in their careers and currently, Brooks is by far the better shooter.

Would still pick Jimmy over him in a vacuum though. Just saying Brooks is not that much worse than him.

Given the second apron and no Beal, they'd have to be offering either KD or Booker... I don't buy it.

Who’s pretending? I didn’t say I knew anything. I’m just stating my opinion based on the reports we’ve discussed in the thread.

If DIllion Brooks was 35 and still getting paid 50 mil and leaving us without a point guard i wouldnt want him either. Also I love how youre assuming the same people that didnt want dillion are the same people that dont want jimmy. to be clear no one is saying jimmy is a bad player. that's not the reason I dont want him. I dont want jimmy because agian it would leave us without a point guard and I just dont think miami is only gonna want fvv and jeff green and they are gonna send the guy thats been annoying them home to the exact place he wants to go lol

Heat 'Don't Like Their Hand' In Jimmy Butler Trade Discussions

The Miami Heat have yet to receive any attractive trade offers for Jimmy Butler, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.

"They've definitely gotten a lot of calls. The issue here is that most of the offers are not that attractive to the Heat. And that doesn't surprise them because a month ago they heard some calls on Jimmy Butler and then they came out with that statement that they weren't going to trade him because they really didn't like any of the offers.

Right now you're seeing a lot of teams testing just how low they might be able to buy Jimmy Butler for," said Windhorst on SportsCenter.

Windhorst added that the Suns were the exception and continue to pursue a trade for Butler. With the Heat uninterested in taking back Bradley Beal's contract, a potential trade would have to include three or four teams.

Windhorst added that he does see Butler eventually getting traded.

"It's going to be a lot of talking, a lot of complicated maneuvering. I think Butler will eventually get moved but the Heat don't like their hand right now at all," added Windhorst.

Brooks is a better on ball guy and spot up shooter. But I am not sure how he would fit with this team. What role will Butler play?

    Butler's game:
    -15 ft mid range
    -18-20 ft mid range
    -Low Post
    -Dribble Drive form perimeter
    -Can shoot 3 off dribble

He gets 36 front court touches per game.

How would he fit in a system that revolves around Sengun as primary scoring option/initiator with Fred as a primary ball handler and secondary initiator?

Jalen only gets 25 front court touches a game and often overlooked in this strange offense. How would Udoka fit him into this system? I would imagine Udoka would have to change the system entirely. But this doesn't seem realistic or feasible considering this is a mid season move. If Butler wasn't happy with 36 touches why would he be happy with less? How does he play with Green or Fred? Or does he take a lesser role? The Heat were able to use him because they don't run their offense through a big. Bam is not the first option. They spread out their offense to let Butler operate in the post or iso.

Lol at a Suns team with Booker, Butler & KD. That’s still not winning anything.

Ask for a trade when he knows he wont get the money he wants either way.

Still not interested. I like Jimmy, but these are his NBA golden years, and for 50 million he can have a peaceful living on another older team. LA, Phoenix or Dallas might be nice retirement spots.

It would be upgrade over the product the Suns are giving now. Suns offense is fine, it's the defense that is the problem, which Jimmy would upgrade. Beal has been horrible on both sides and there seems to not be enough touches for all 3 of Durant, Booker and Beal. I find it unlikely that the Suns could make any move that makes them worse than what the league has seen over the last month.

Butler on the Suns doesn't make them a championship team, but does make them an 8 seed, which is all Butler needs to go deep in the playoffs.

i assume just to spite Riley. If he’s not going to get paid, probably would rather get paid less for someone else he doesn’t have bad blood with. Just my guess though

Why are you mentioning my quote? You obsessed with me? And I see you still haven't done your research on what TS% actually measures. This is common with dumbass fans like you with a big mouth but nothing in that little shi+ brain of yours.
