A young a owner in Ishibia does seem like he really wants to win (now). Almost irrationally so. In a pecking order, Booker would be the last to move among their big 3. But they may not have a choice on Beal. Ishibia also not shy about spending, a double apron team, and inked that huge deal for coach Bud. I'm also not sure how much power/influence Jim Jones still have over there. As far as dominos falling, only realistic is if Booker himself asks out. Meanwhile, if PHX is bad, and if Booker not available, we can still consume the picks ourselves or use them in trades with another team. We still have 'optionality' .
I hope not much given that he's a long-dead, mass-murdering, cult leader. On top of that, he's not very stylish. No room for those types in the NBA.
If Booker isn't available then waiting for him is just as dumb. I think the Rockets will need go capitalize on their assets within the next year or they risk letting most of it slip away waiting for the right guy to come available
HOLY ****. Booker, KD ans Beal are yucking it up as they go on a 4 game lose streak. The pick is now 9th pick OMG! Do we even trade the 2025 pick at this rate? We may just capture the Flagg.
I don't think they should trade it. This draft is so deep and guard heavy. Reed is looking like a total bust.
I think odds are the Rockets either win the lottery or they trade the pick on draft night for future picks. I can't see the Rockets trading the 2025 pick at the deadline unless Booker is involved. It would be a weird trade as the Rockets would have to get a 2026 pick back to deal it. Slight chance that the Suns can win play-in games to screw over this plan.
Sometimes we don't sound like a fanbase that has been used to 20 win seasons for 3 seasons straight and now we are saying a GM sucks when the team he is managing has the second youngest roster in the league adjusted for usage rate where the Wizards are first in that regard while being the literal SECOND SEED IN THE WESTERN CONFERENCE. Let's act like a fanbase that just experienced 3 20 win seasons in a row and be grateful to be fans of a franchise that executed a near perfect rebuild.
Philly looks horrendous, other than Oubre and Maxey, the rest of their guys can barely make it up the court. There was a loose ball that was closest to Eric Gordon and he just stares at it, most of their guys are not going to go after a loose ball or do anything but take spot up jump shots. They currently look just bad enough to lose out on the top 6 protection of their pick and it going to OKC.
I would imagine there’s got to be some heat for management in Philly. The “trust the process” thing was supposed to be ancient history. We need Philly to start winning. I’m rooting for the Bulls and 6ers this season
No Pandemic P just happened. They tried their best to win Maxey got 40+ mins. Whats funny is after switching teams Morey still ended up trading his future picks to OKC. I thought Morey was an excellent GM prior to going to Philly but he came into a good situation and royally ****ed it up. Sixers are now in cap hell paying 3 max guys and they are still so bad they have a top 10 pick which they will give to OKC. If I was a Sixers fan I would be mad AF.
Suns are fully healthy but they are still so terrible. This year's Suns pick is currently projected 9th with 20% chance to land in top 4. It's currently guaranteed to be top 12th pick (1%), 50% chance to be 9th but as long as it's not 9th, it will be guaranteed top 4 pick with 4.5% at #1. We could be drafting top 4 b2b in years where we are not tanking! I think we hold off on any trades and see where the pick lands first.. we could be drafting ourselves an elite starting PG even if we miss out on Cooper. This year's top 10 projected has multiple great playmaking guards.
The Suns are coming into the easiest part of their schedule over the next 9 games or so. If they dont get a nice record over that stretch they are gonna fall behind in the WC race.
The Paul George deal should really be the nail in the coffin for Morey/Brand or whoever made these decisions. That is an insanely bad contract that seemed like it was going to be one from the beginning, you can get that type of production for less than half the price.
