KD is currently 13th in the league in minutes played and is 36 years old and has had two separate injury absences, Booker is currently 10th in minutes played and has already missed time with an injury of his own. The amount of minutes they have KD playing is actually crazy for a 36 year old with all of his injury issues. The Suns before the season started mentioned trying to preserve KD as much as possible so they can extend him, but they are doing the opposite. This is an absolute ticking time bomb, and I would not even give them all of their picks back for Booker at this point, maybe some.

Our odds have skyrocketed since I made this. We are up to 20.3% chance of a top 4 and 4.5% chance of top overall.

This was a good trade. There is no fix for Phoenix.

Green+Landale+Uncle Jeff+Tate+2025 FRP For Booker tomorrow works for me.

Anthony Edwards is not very happy right now.

Yeah, it's a pipe dream for sure, but the Rockets are the one team I feel like that could swing a huge move with that because we have the treasure chest to sell it to Minny if things get too bad there and he just wants out. Just keep Amen and Sengun (who Edwards respects IIRC) and they can have practically anyone else and a few picks as well.

I'd like to keep Jabari too but I'd ride with an Amen, Sengun, and Edwards core into the future.

This loss to the Pistons seems to have really added to the frustration of Antman and while it might not be this season, if Minny doesn't give him help (and how can they do that with how their roster is constructed) it's not unthinkable that he demands out 2026 deadline.

So with Fox, I'm fine with the trade if it happens but does he make us a contender? I don't think so. He's not a tier 1 superstar so he makes us better for sure but as we are sitting at #2 right now I think patience does need to be considered here.

I'm out on Fox and Booker. Jalen, Reed, Tari all Phoenix Picks and 27 pick swap with Brooklyn 31 rockets FRP for Ant.

Adams, Tate, 2 or 3 2nd round picks for Vucevic.
FVV, Landale, top five protected Rockets 29 Frp for Butler, Ware

    Amen, Ant, Butler, Jabari, Sengun.
Bench: Holiday or MLE FA, Cam, Dillon, Vucevic, Ware

This is the dream, buddy. This is the dream.

Not sure about Dillon on the bench. But I like the concept.

I still think we’d need a PG and Butler isn’t a good use of cap space. Do we have enough assets to go after Ant and Ball/Fox. A roster centered around Ball/Fox-Ant-Amen-Sengun could rival OKC.

How much better is Butler than Brooks these days?

He also has a ton of kids already right? Maybe he isn’t the guy to build a franchise around.

I'd rather have Fox than Butler, but I don't think we could get Ant and Fox from an asset perspective. We would expend most our draft capital on Ant and I think Sac is looking for two FRP's for Fox. If Lamello is up for grabs, I don't think we are best positioned to get him since they are already loaded with draft picks. I don't see how Charlotte is so bad with their roster. Maybe they are tanking for Flagg. Just don't see them trading Lamello unless they really get screwed in this year's lottery. I don't really want Butler, but he is the most likely candidate to get rid of FVV and it's 1 1/2 of Butler and then his cap space is free. It might only be half if he is stupid enough to turn down his player option next year.

I'm not interested in trading for yet another guard who can't shoot a basketball.

I'm not sure he's any better, but if we were to get Ant and give up what I suggested we would need more bench depth. I wouldn't care if Dillon started and Jimmy came off the bench, but Jimmy would probably fake an injury or illness so he could pout. Dillon has matured to the point, I think he would adjust to 6th man role very nicely.

If we had Ant, it wouldn't be as much of a problem, but without Ant I have no interest in Fox.

Hard to believe they were 8-1 to start the season. The drop off has been insane.

I love Brooks, but Brooks' TS% is .55 and Butler's is like .65. There is a massive offensive difference.

I don't want Booker and his supermax contract shooting less than league average from both 2 & 3.

    He's not that guy.

I've never understood the love for this guy. They had that one hot stretch during the bubble where they made a run for the playoffs, but man he wasn't necessarily a winning player before that. CP3 then came and brought a ton of structure to that team and they made a finals run and another good run the following year. Now they reverted to not being very good, and Booker is certainly not doing anything special to carry that team. He should be the one carrying them at this point with KD and Beal as support, but instead it is KD carrying them.

Every shot Booker takes looks great, even if the shot hits the back of the rim.

Isn't Booker of Latino heritage. There are fans who likely will follow him around to his new team(s). Like JLin fans.

For a BBS, that could be good (or bad). :D
